Good day all. One of the bigger disgraces from the 9/11 attack in 2001 was how the captured terrorists were kept in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for decades instead of simply being lined up on the beach and shot. There are reasons why this has occurred, part of it was draining the terrorists of anything that would be useful.
It’s been 20 years now and not one of these animals has been tried. Now the Biden Maladministration’s Department of (In)Justice is looking to do a plea bargain with the planners of the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor. Here are the details from Fox News:
U.S. military prosecutors are reportedly negotiating potential plea deals with 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other conspirators imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay. The plea deals may allow the five dependents to escape a potential death penalty, according to CBS. Mohammed is widely credited with being the architect of the 9/11 terror attacks. The other four defendants are Ramzi Binalshibh, Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi, Walid bin Attash and Ammar al-Baluchi.
While the story claims it’s the Military, they wouldn’t be making these offers without the guidance of the Attorney General, Merrick Garland, and he wouldn’t be doing it without the approval of that senile pedophile, President* Joe Bumbles Dementia Biden.
Attorneys for the defendants reportedly say they would be willing to enter a guilty plea in exchange for taking the death penalty off the table, as well as for getting treatment for alleged torture they experienced while in CIA custody.
The biggest mistake the CIA made was keeping these animals alive once they had gotten everything useful from them. Anything they knew when the attacks happened is long since gone stale and is worthless. They should be quickly tried and executed. Or executed and then tried. Either works for me.
The CIA held each of the five men for interrogation prior to their arrival in Guantanamo in 2006. Critics argue the CIA’s methods amounted to illegal torture.
So what? These are terrorists, not captured soldiers with protection under the Geneva and Hague conventions. We had the absolute right, (And still do), to summarily execute them. As for the torture? From what I understand, the only physical “torture” was waterboarding and that does no physical harm. I also understand that the interrogators who use it are required to undergo the process as part of their training.
One of the problems has been letting these vermin have any access to the American legal system. One of the reasons they were put in “Gitmo” in the first place was to prevent this from happening. The problem was, as it always is, a judge usurping authority he or she doesn’t have and giving these terrorists access to the American judicial system, even though they are NOT IN THE UNITED STATES!
As you might expect, this is plan to offer plea deals to these thugs is going over like a lead balloon with the families of the people these vermin murdered. According to the Blaze:
Families of 9/11 victims said there can be no justice until the perpetrators of the attacks are executed for their crimes.
“I will not have closure as long as there is any possibility for some future president to commute their sentences or trade them away for something political that they want from some other country. That’s a very real possibility because it’s now been done over and over and over again,” said Debra Burlingame, whose brother Charles “Chic” Burlingame was a pilot killed when al Qaeda terrorists hijacked his plane, American Airlines Flight 77, and crashed it into the Pentagon.
Burlingame told Herridge she’s afraid “we’ve reached a point in our country where we just don’t seem to have … the courage of our convictions.”
Most American do have that courage. The problem is that the Ruling Elites don’t care what the People want and never have. The “Deep State” screwed up after the initial victory in Afghanistan, deciding, once again, to play “Nation Builders.” They stole billions from the American Taxpayers, and in the end, when the American people were fed up with the incompetence of the political and military leadership, initiated the “Biden Bug Out.”
This is all part and parcel of the worst, most corrupt president in history being dead wrong about everything. It also shows that we need political leaders who will, under very specific circumstances, tell the judicial branch to pound sand. If the judges can’t take the hint, remove them from the bench and criminally charge them with aiding an abetting enemies of the nation in time of war.
As to the idea they will actually do a plea deal? If they do, every single person in that decision tree needs to be dismissed from government service, and where applicable, disbarred from the practice of law. Yes, I’m also up for criminal charges as well. Perhaps it’s time to put some of these deep state types on trial on capital offenses, and if convicted, hang a few of them. Anyone who pushes this needs to be dealt with in the most unpleasant ways imaginable.
