Good day all. Colleges and Universities to day have generally become Progressive reeducation centers pushing the absolute worst ideas possible. One of these is the Progressive Religion of Global Warming and Climate Change. (Yes, this is an actual religion. Question the doctrine and you get crucified)
Another issue is how parents have been coddling their children. (This is starting to change with the latest generation) Far to many don’t understand the concept of winners and losers, and when the Real World hits them in the face, they collapse into a pile of crying wimps looking for a safe space.

One of the major things pushed by the Progressives is that the Earth is doomed, that we’re all going to die in hell fire brought on by man made climate change. Now universities are starting to offer counseling to the precious snowflakes who are stressed when the temperature shifts a few degrees. Here are the details from the Post Millennial:
In recent years, more and more young people have reported feeling anxious or depressed as a result of the dire warnings about climate change that are presented to them everywhere they look. Perhaps nowhere is this more prevalent than in institutions of higher learning.
One of the problems with these so called “Institutions of higher learning,” that teaching and critical thinking are things that do not happen any longer. Anyone who actually starts looking into the reality behind all the climate change crap is instantly attacked for being a non-believer. (They are actually called Climate Deniers) Most of these kids don’t know how to deal with this since their parents did nothing to toughen them up.
In an attempt to address the mental health consequences of being constantly warned that the planet is on its last leg, there has been a push from within colleges and universities to provide climate change counseling services to students.

In 2020, members of the University of British Columbia’s Sustainability Initiative released a report detailing the relationship between climate change and mental health, offering a “systemic approach to action in post-secondary education.
“Direct and indirect stressors from climate change,” they wrote, “as well as the overarching psychological and psychosocial challenges associated with acknowledging the magnitude of the crisis, lead to mental distress and disrupt mental health and wellbeing. Addressing the challenges that the climate crisis poses to mental health, and finding ways to live with and adapt to the overarching psychological and psychosocial weight of the crisis is needed to build healthy and resilient individuals and communities.”
This sounds like a very costly solution looking for a problem. In other words, a bunch of quacks and frauds looking to protect their phony baloney jobs and get rich. As you might expect, this drivel is spreading from Britain to this side of the Atlantic.
At the University of Michigan, a pilot program has been set up creating a therapy group that will meet for one hour every week for just over three months to see how receiving emotional support can help students overcome their anxiety.
Assistant director of the University of Oregon’s Office of Sustainability, Sarah Stoeckl, argued that without such services available to students, they will feel “paralyzed in … uncomfortable emotions.”
These precious snowflakes are supposed to be the future leaders of the United States. If they get stressed out over garbage, how are the going to react when a real crises appears?
Of the counselors who have chosen to integrate knowledge of climate change into their skillset, some have argued that “eco-anxiety” is unlike other mental health challenges in that in this case, “the psychological part is really meant to go hand in hand with climate action.”
As I thought, it’s a bunch of quacks looking to generate a nice revenue stream into their bank accounts.
According to research from The Lancet, 84 percent of children and young adults around the world are “at least moderately worried” about climate change, while over half said they are “very or extremely worried.”
Perhaps most striking, however, was the finding that 45 percent of those surveyed said that their thoughts and feelings about climate change “negatively affected their daily life and functioning,” with many reporting a “high number of negative thoughts about climate change.”
What would you expect when all they here, day in and day out is “Oh My God! We’re all going to die! Then the “Instructors” will tell them that the only way t ‘Save the planet” is to basically move to a Socialist or Communist totalitarian state ruled by the highly educated elites.

In case these moonbats hadn’t noticed, this was tried in a place called the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. They should see the mess left behind by the communists in Russia and the old Soviet Empire. The People’s Republic of China is no better, and I speak from personal experience. It’s time these little twerps just grew up, nut up and get a life. Here’s some advice from the late George Carlin on “Saving the planet.”
George always knew what was what. As for the precious snowflakes? Here, have some therapy puppies.
