Good day all. Since Elon Musk took over Twitter, there have been a number of major changes, starting with getting rid of all the management people who turned Twitter into Censorship Central. Last week he laid off 50% of the work force, including entire departments. However, in the case of Anger Central, it looks like he missed one of the Precious Snowflakes.
Recently I posted a commentary on a Fox story about an election official that was booted from the polls and may now be looking at criminal charges. (The Democrat Fraud machine has started it’s solar powered engines) For those of you who might follow this blog and see my account on Twitter, you will have noticed that we have the blog set up to post to Twitter automagically. This included the post I wrote on the Fraud Machine kicking off.
It seems that Elon Musk’s chain saw may have missed one or two of the barking moonbats in the Censorship department. The post was flagged as “Misleading,” and they basically locked it out. If you hadn’t already seen it, you never would. Those of you who did, wouldn’t be allowed to retweet it. (Not that anyone ever does on Twitler)
One of those who does follow me saw the notice and filed an appeal. It was promptly tossed into the bit bucket by those who Musk hasn’t gotten to yet. The notice itself is interesting in it’s fake news fact checking. They put forward as “proof” all the usual suspects in the Mostly Stupid Media who have been pushing their views that any election a democrat wins is fair, honest and secure. (And occasionally, they are)
What the “Fact checkers” didn’t do was actually read the citation and link from Fox News about the story. They simply went with the subject title of the post. (A sense of humor is something Progressives, liberals and Democrats have surgically removed, along with their gonads and ovaries)
I was able to retweet the original posting and I added the following comments to it.
“So, the censors that @elonmusk missed have decided that my commentary on a report by Fox News on a poll worker thrown out and now looking at potential criminal charges is misleading? @elonmusk, you need to fire a few more idiots.”
Interestingly, the other Social Media sites I posted to, including Faceplant, has not issues with my post. I had a few retweets, or retruths as it happens, on the original post, so people who saw it didn’t think it was fake news or misleading. Perhaps this is due to what I actually wrote NOT being misleading.
Oh, I will and do make mistakes, but I’m always open to corrections when they are pointed out to me. In this I differ from organizations like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Slimes, The Washington ComPost, Associated (with terrorists) Press, Reuters, etc.
I have been thinking about closing down my Twitter account. I haven’t seen any growth in it and the number of “followers” has been fairly static for years. (I lost about 20 right after Musk took over. I suspect they were bots that had been squashed) I have been seeing a lot more growth and activity on Truth Social and Gettr, and to a lesser extent Gab. Parler has also been pretty static and I think the platform is failing.
In any case, I thought I would just let you know that the censors of Twitter haven’t all been removed yet. It’s possible this was done by one of their pet algorithms and no human has actually seen it. I’m also tempted to write an actual letter and send it my U.S. Mail to the office of the CEO, attention Elon Musk detailing what happened. I doubt he would see it, but one of his minions or flunkies might. In the mean time, we shall see how things shake out in the land of petty little Twitlers.
