Good day all. One of the worst mistakes the voters of Utah ever made was electing the Mittens Romney to the United States Senate. Once he had his carpet bagging ass firmly planted in the RINO section of the Senate, he went after the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump.
This worthless, lying diaper stain voted to convict and remove President Trump from office twice due to has flat out hatred of President Trump. Now he has decided that his career in the Senate is coming to an end and that further antagonizing his constituents is the way to proceed. Mittens has come out in favor of the bogus charges brought by the corrupt Merrick Garland. Here are the details from the Washington Examiner:
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) expressed support on Friday for the Justice Department’s decision to indict former President Donald Trump in the classified documents matter.
The Utah senator began the statement by acknowledging that Trump is “entitled to the presumption of innocence” and that prosecutors face “the burden of proving its charges beyond a reasonable doubt.”
“By all appearances, the Justice Department and special counsel have exercised due care, affording Mr. Trump the time and opportunity to avoid charges that would not generally have been afforded to others,” Romney said. “Mr. Trump brought these charges upon himself by not only taking classified documents, but by refusing to simply return them when given numerous opportunities to do so.”
“These allegations are serious and if proven, would be consistent with his other actions offensive to the national interest, such as withholding defensive weapons from Ukraine for political reasons and failing to defend the Capitol from violent attack and insurrection,” it continued.
I notice that Mittens doesn’t appear to have said much regarding the actions of Dementia Joe Biden or Felonia von Pantsuit and how they handled classified data. That’s probably due to his being a Democrat pretending to be a Republican.
Romney’s shift in tone on the DOJ charges suggests there could be other Republicans, and certainly independents, who take issue with Trump’s behavior in the documents matter.
These would be all the Deep State Uniparty RINO’s and TransRepublicans who never supported President Trump, his plan to Make America Great Again and not getting involved in useless wars. (That number has become smaller as many have retired due to ill health. Their constituents are sick of them)
Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed Smith last November to lead the DOJ’s investigations into Trump’s role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and his handling of classified documents. The war crimes prosecutor took over the investigations after Trump declared his 2024 presidential bid, leaving Garland in need of an apolitical investigator to handle such politically sensitive matters.
When that appointment was made, everyone who looked at Smith knew it was a political move by the most corrupt Attorney General in American history. Smith hates Trump and making up charges and ignoring actual laws and the Constitution seems to be his standard operating procedure.
As for Romney, he’s probably going to be a single term Senator. Whether he quits like he did as Govno or goes down in flames during the primary, I can’t say. From what I’ve been hearing, a lot of people are furious with Mittens. His remarks are just another nail in his political coffin. Hopefully, the voters of Utah will plant his political career good and deep.
