Colorado Secretary of State “Disappointed” with Supreme Court decision

Good day all. Now that the Supreme Court has ruled that the States have no authority to ban the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, from the ballot, the Democrat controlled states are showing their disappointment.

Colorado was the first state to remove President Trump from the Primary ballots claiming they had the right to under the 14th Amendment. The State Supreme Court, in a 4-3 ruling, said that President Trump was an insurrectionist and must be removed from the ballot. President Trump’s people promptly appealed this and with a couple of other states pulling the same thing, it went straight to the Supreme Court.

Monday the Court ruled 9-0 in favor of President Trump. This decision is disappointing to the Colorado Secretary of State. Here are the details from the Post Millennial:

Following the Supreme Court’s unanimous decision to keep 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump on the ballot, Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold said she was “disappointed” in the decision, calling Trump an “oath-breaking insurrectionist,” a term used by justices in a concurring opinion on the case.

“I am disappointed in the US Supreme Court’s decision stripping states of the authority to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment for federal candidates. Colorado should be able to bar oath-breaking insurrections from our ballot,” Griswold wrote.

The states never had the authority in the first place stupid.

Speaking with MSNBC after the decision, Griswold said, “My larger reaction is disappointment. I do believe that states should be able, under our Constitution, to bar oath-breaking insurrectionists. And ultimately this decision leads open or leaves open the door for Congress to act to pass authorizing legislation. But we know that Congress is a nearly nonfunctioning body. So ultimately, it will be up to the American voters to save our democracy in November.”

This idiot apparently graduated from Law school. Obviously, she didn’t actually learn anything about how the Constitution works. The actions by the states looking to ban President Trump were so off base that even the liberals on the court couldn’t stomach it.

In the opinion, the court wrote that “because the Constitution makes Congress, rather than the States, responsible for enforcing Section 3 against federal officeholders and candidates, we reverse” the Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling to keep Trump off the ballot.

In February, Griswold said in an interview that “States like Colorado believe that it is confusing and potentially suppressive to put a candidate on a ballot who cannot assume office.”

“We kept Donald Trump off because he is disqualified, from our perspective, under the Constitution for being an oath-breaking insurrectionist.”

The only people who have said that the January 6th protest was an insurrection has been the Progressives, Liberals and Democrats. No one else has. Not congress, who actually are the ones who would declare something to be an insurrection, and no one has actually even been charged with insurrection, certainly not President Trump.

The idiots on the bench in Colorado also ignored President Trump’s remarks that people peacefully go to Capitol Hill and lawfully protest. (Not the exact quote) The judges on the Colorado Supreme Court who aren’t complaining are the three who said from the very beginning that they didn’t have the authority to determine what is and isn’t an insurrection and who would be banned from holding office.

I expect the fallout from this decision to percolate for the next few days as the Progressives realize that once again, they fucked around and now have found out that the odds of President Trump retaking office in 2025 have just increased again. Boy does it suck to be a Liberal.
