Good day all. Each day the odds of the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, winning the 2024 election increase in his favor. Each day the Democrats scream, rant, rave and throw temper tantrums.
The 2020 election is in the history books as “Questionable” and “Tainted.” I don’t need to review all the things that made people question the results, we all know what we think may have happened. A number of states have been working to secure their ballots to prevent another tainted election, and Merrick Garland is already ramping up to put a stop to that.
Now the Democrats are saying that they will oppose certifying the election of they don’t win. Here are the details from RedState:
The political party claiming that a Donald Trump election victory would mean the end of American democracy has other ideas if the result does not go their way.
According to the latest survey by Rasmussen Reports, a majority of Democrats surveyed said they would prefer Congress to refuse to certify a Trump victory if it comes to pass:
Some Democrats in Congress have said that if Trump wins this year’s election, they will vote against certifying the election results because of Trump’s role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots.
The who January 6th protest and the “Results” of the kangaroo committee “Investigating” the protests has been used by the Democrats as a way to increase their power at the expense of everyone else in the Nation. The Loudermilk Oversight committee has been tearing apart the travesty that was the January 6th committee and it may now be reaching the point of ethics and criminal investigations. Considering who is likely to win the 2024 election, the Democrats statement that they won’t certify the election, barring actual issues, isn’t surprising.
After the Supreme Court rejected attempts to disqualify former President Donald Trump from the ballot, a majority of Democratic voters now support another way to block Trump’s possible return to the White House.
A national telephone and online survey by Rasmussen Reports and The National Pulse finds that 35% of Likely U.S. Voters say, if Trump wins this year’s election, they would support Democrats in Congress refusing to certify the election results, including 20% who would Strongly Support such a move.
However, a majority (55%) would oppose Congress members refusing to certify a Trump victory, including 44% who Strongly Oppose the idea. Another 10% are not sure.
As previously reported by RedState, there are discussions among certain Democrats in Congress who plan on refusing certification if Trump wins the election.
I think we’re now looking at an actual conspiracy. This isn’t like 2020 where everything came to a head after the election, one that had a significant number of unusual circumstances. These people are talking about outright ignoring the vote if it doesn’t go their way. I’m not a lawyer, but I have a suspicion that a few laws might be broken if they carry through with this. (Just talking about it isn’t a criminal action. Acting on the conversations may be)
Last month, The Atlantic published an article outlining how Democrats were preparing to do just that, or at the very least refuse to commit to doing so:
Murray and other legal scholars say that, absent clear guidance from the Supreme Court, a Trump win could lead to a constitutional crisis in Congress. Democrats would have to choose between confirming a winner many of them believe is ineligible and defying the will of voters who elected him… If that happens, they could have the votes to prevent him from taking office.
In interviews, senior House Democrats would not commit to certifying a Trump win, saying they would do so only if the Supreme Court affirms his eligibility. But during oral arguments, liberal and conservative justices alike seemed inclined to dodge the question of his eligibility altogether and throw the decision to Congress.
The levels of stupidity by the Democrats and other Progressives has reached astounding levels. It also shows the utter contempt for the Republic and Democracy that the Democrats have. Counting on the Supreme Court to keep a President-Elect Trump from being sworn in is a nonstarter. They might be counting on the political trials, but those are falling apart now.
Such reports are a reminder of how little the left actually cares about democracy, all while claiming that this election is all about saving it. In the case of Biden’s contested certification, the opposition was due to unanswered questions about election interference.
The Democrats have never believed in Democracy or that the people of this nation should have a say in how things are run. Look at the 2016 Democrat primaries which were flat out rigged by the Democrat National Committee to hand the nomination to Felonia von Pantsuit. They pretty much did the same thing in 2020 when they shoved Joe Biden down people’s throats.
If Democrats were to do the same with Trump, it would almost certainly be predicated on his supposed ineligibility for office over their belief he engaged in insurrection. Either way, it would at least drive a knife through the heart of the narrative that they are the party of democracy, as their name and recent rhetoric might falsely suggest.
It will do a lot more then that, and that’s what scares a lot of people. If President Trump wins, and the House and Senate solidly flip Republican, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that the Ruling Elites might actually try something really stupid like deny the election results in total or even declare some form of Martial Law. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Garland DoJ sent out goons to “arrest” President Trump and “accidentally” kill him “Attempting to escape” or something.
That would have the affect of ending the Republic and triggering what any normal person wants to avoid. An all out civil war. There are those on the Left who welcome the thought of a Civil War. They see it as a means to cement Democrat Rule and tear up the Constitution once and for all. In other words, they think they would win this time.
I won’t go into what would happen in such a scenario. There are others far better qualified than I am to explain why this would be a really bad idea, and what the probable results might be. (Here’s a hint. The left won’t win and there won’t be any sort of reconciliation such as happened after the last and hopefully only civil war in this country)
The Democrats just need to understand that they are going to lose and instead of doubling down on stupid, use their time in the wilderness to understand why they lost and how they are going to change to reflect what the citizens of the United States are looking for. What they’re doing now isn’t working.
