Good day all. Shortly after the assassination attempt on the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, people searching Google for information had trouble bringing up any results, especially with the Autocomplete feature.
People who saw this said that this was flat out censorship by Google. At first, Google and it’s holding company, Alphabet, denied this. No one believed Google at all and Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan announced he was opening an investigation. Then came the hammer blow to Alphabet and Google couple of weeks ago. They lost an antitrust case and there is talk that Google will now be broken up. Now Google is admitting that “Yes, we did censor the results.” Here are the details from Fox Business News:
Google admitted that autocomplete search results regarding the assassination attempt against former President Trump last month were prohibited by design and part of the company’s policy for “hypothetical political violence against current figures.”
There was nothing “Hypothetical” about the assassination attempt on President Trump. That was actual, real time news and Google was actively censoring it. Does anyone believe that if this had been Joe Biden or Kamala Harris that Google would be suppressing search data?
FOX Business reported exclusively in July that Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., was launching an investigation into Google after its autocomplete search results did not register the assassination attempt against Trump on July 13, which was dominating the news. He questioned the company in a letter over the search function, asking about its algorithm and what decisions were made in the aftermath of the attack on Trump.
In its response to the senator, Google Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy, US and Canada Mark Isakowitz listed the policies that guide the autocomplete function.
“We do not allow predictions that can be interpreted as accusations against individuals or groups of serious malevolent acts, where there is a lack of well-established or expert supporting evidence,” he said.
Oh I think there was plenty of well established and expert supporting evidence you lying slimeball. We all know that Google and it’s holding company, Alphabet are all in on turning the United States into a socialist totalitarian Utopia and will block anyone who thinks otherwise.
However, Senator Marshall told Fox News Digital in a statement on Wednesday that Google’s search autocomplete function was still omitting Trump assassination attempt results as of his public inquiry to the company on July 28.
“Google is now openly admitting that they were blocking and eliminating search prompts regarding the assassination attempt on President Trump,” the senator told Fox News Digital in an exclusive statement. “Most shocking is their bizarre written defense that Trump’s assassination attempt was a ‘hypothetical act of political violence’ even up to the point of our public inquiry on July 28th.”
Googlag, as I call that Socialist paradise, (Sarcasm intended) still doesn’t understand that this is an actual problem that should have been corrected within hours of being discovered, and it wouldn’t be at all difficult to do programatically.
The company explained in its letter to him, “In the immediate aftermath of the horrific events in Butler, PA, these systems were still in place and predictions related to the assassination attempt failed to appear.
What I want to know, and this is something that Senator Marshall should ask, was how long it took to realize what was happening. I have little doubt that Googlag found out within an hour that there was an issue.
We recognize that these out-of-date systems led to an inadequate user experience.”
Per Isakowitz, when the issues were alerted to Google, they started working on and rolling out improvements.
And we’re supposed to believe this? Google and Alphabet have a long history of censoring people and views that you do not agree with.
For Marshall, this wasn’t good enough. He further eviscerated the company, calling it “a monopolistic agent of propaganda for the globalist Left.”
In this he now has a court decision agreeing with him. (That came after his hearing) Alphabet and Google are now looking at a corporate death sentence. To help with that, Senator Marshall wants them to testify under oath.
“In response to this letter, I am demanding that Google’s top executives testify under oath before the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee,” the Kansas senator said. “Under oath, they won’t be able to hide behind an algorithm or get away with corporate double-speak.”
Oh they will try, mark my words. That or they take the 5th Amendment and refuse to answer due to the potential of criminally implicating themselves.
According to Marshall, the committee is “launching a full investigation into Google’s litany of offenses.” He added that it is “time for accountability and consequence.”
That could be a problem. Right now, the Democrats, who will protect Google since they’ve been helping them steal elections, will make sure nothing substantive happens.
While the Republicans are currently in the minority on the committee, if they retake the majority in November against Democrats who face an unfavorable re-election map, they could be in a position to spearhead a more in-depth investigation into Google.
That is going to be the question. Will the Republicans win, as they should in November, or will they once again throw the election away? The good news is that Cocaine Mitch McConnell is pretty much neutered this election cycle and the RNC is now in the hands of people who actually want to win and are working to help down ticket candidates, not block them.
With the loss on the antitrust suit along with this, Google is going to take it in the shorts. Granted, they will appeal the antitrust decision, and I suspect will win in the end. Still, there is a lot that Congress can do, starting with taking away their section 230 protection under the telecom act. There is a lot more they can do, and right now, Big Tech isn’t very popular these days.
When Facebook blocked the image of Trump bleeding from the ear and waving his fist in defiance, saying it was fake, Zuckerberg quickly got out in front, apologized and get the problem fixed. Zuckerberg may see something that the moonbats and leftists running Alphabet and Google don’t, and that’s the writing on the wall.
