Good day all. I didn’t know about this moonbat and her column until Elon Musk started ripping her a massive new one. (More on that later) The author is Jennifer Szalai who is a book critic for the Slimes. She’s also Canadian.
Reading the column, it’s obvious that she has no idea about much of anything. The target of her ire is, not surprisingly, President Trump. She is whining that President Trump won the election from the Progressives Saint Felonia von Pantsuit, aka Hillary Clinton in 2016 because he won the Electoral College.
She then goes on to the usual Progressive horse manure about the Tainted Election and how President Trump is a dire threat to the Constitution. (Which he isn’t and she doesn’t support anyway) Basically she blames the Constitution for allowing someone who is not one of “Her People,” meaning a Progressive Liberal Totalitarian Socialist, to become president.
This caught the attention of Elon Musk and he went after this Canadian loser. He was also joined by others on TwitterX slamming this barking mad moonbat. Here are the details from Fox News:
Billionaire Elon Musk slammed a New York Times writer that wrote an article which claimed the U.S. Constitution can be considered one of the “biggest threats” to the country.
The Times’ book critic Jennifer Szalai claimed that “The United States Constitution is in trouble” due to the fact that former President Trump was able to become president through the Electoral College.
“Americans have long assumed that the Constitution could save us; a growing chorus now wonders whether we need to be saved from it,” Szalai said. “The document that’s supposed to be a bulwark against authoritarianism can end up fostering the widespread cynicism that helps authoritarianism grow.”
She went on to attack the originalist interpretations of the Constitution, “calling it “Constitution worship.”
What an idiot! She is Canadian of course, and unless she’s in the United States, it has no effect on her. I don’t know if she is currently residing in the United States as a Legal Resident Alien or is living in Canada, where she is the property of the Trudeau regime. She certainly doesn’t understand what the purpose of the United States Constitution is.
As I mentioned above, she went on a tear about how the Electoral College allowed Donald Trump to win the election in 2016. She then went on ripping the decision to overturning Roe v Wade and returning the whole thing to the States.
“Trump owes his political ascent to the Constitution, making him a beneficiary of a document that is essentially antidemocratic and, in this day and age, increasingly dysfunctional,” Szalai wrote.
Obviously, the Moonbat doesn’t understand or know that the founders didn’t trust a pure democracy and for good reason. They created a Constitutional Republic designed to limit the powers of the government and protect both the smaller, less populated states from the large states. (Back then, this was New York. Today, California and, to be honest, Texas)

Yep. That’s the way it works stupid. The Electoral College forces candidates to campaign in all states, not just the states that have the most voters.
He appointed three justices to the Supreme Court (Article III), two of whom were confirmed by senators representing just 44 percent of the population (Article I). Those three justices helped overturn Roe v. Wade, a reversal with which most Americans disagreed.”
I am taking a guess that Szalai doesn’t know that the United States Supreme Court and the lower courts are not there to “Represent” anyone. They are there to uphold the Constitution and determine of laws passed by the legislative branch and signed in to law by the President, (Or a veto overridden), are constitutional.
The problem with Roe v Wade was that there was no legislation on this, one way or the other. It was something made up by the Supreme Court acting as a super legislature. Even their sainted Ruth Bader-Ginsberg said the original decision was bad. (And she supported it) At this point, Szalai closed out her column and finished off any credibility.
“One of the biggest threats to America’s politics might be the country’s founding document,” the Times writer added.
Well, if you consider the document that governs the United States to be a threat, how about you just stay in Canada. Then it won’t bother you. However, the fact that you want the Constitution of a country you aren’t a citizen of torn up because you don’t like it could, technically, make you an enemy of the United States of America.
This column led to a response from Elon Musk. It was short and to the point.

The responses to the post were fairly ruthless to both Jennifer Szalai and the New York Slimes. Fox News’s Laura Ingraham asked this question on TwitterX.
“Does the NYT hate the Constitution? Of course it does.”
The Left in this country wants to end the Constitutional Republic that has worked fairly well for almost 250 years. They hate it because it gets in their way of absolute power. (Free speech and the Second Amendment are at the top of the list of items they want gone, along with the Bill of Rights) These idiots don’t seem to realize that the Constitution is meant to protect everyone, including the occasional Canadian Moonbat. Without it, these same leftists could find themselves arrested and summarily executed for saying or doing something the Ruling Elites that they helped put in power didn’t like.
Jennifer Szalai can do us all a favor and simply SHUT THE HELL UP! Yes, she has the right to say things that demonstrate that she is dumber then a box of hammers, but she is also, as far as I know, not an American Citizen. Her opinion means exactly nothing. The New York Slimes however, they are approaching the area where speech becomes incitement. That isn’t protected. In any case, the best way to deal with Szalai and the Slimes is to ridicule and belittle them. Also not giving the Slimes any money through advertising or subscriptions far better then legal action.
