Good day all. This news is breaking. Iran has launched a missile attack on Israel. It looks like the missiles were intercepted and that there were no Israeli casualties or damage. It appears this was in retaliation to Israel blowing the crap out of Hezbollah in Lebanon.
For years, decades really, Hezbollah has been acting as Iran’s proxy in Lebanon. They were responsible for the destruction of the Marine barracks back in 1983. Since then they’ve been running roughshod over Lebanon and have basically taken over the southern part of the country facing Israel. They’ve used this location to launch thousands of rockets into Israel, and, up until recently, Israel has been somewhat reticent in retaliating for fear of civilian casualties.
This reticence came to an end with the October 7th attack by Hamas into Israel. With that, Israel took the gloves off and are now basically mopping up what’s left of Hamas in Gaza. Now they’ve turned their attention to Hezbollah, and boy have they made life very interesting, and short, for their leaders and membership.
The first inkling that Hezbollah had was when, after years of preparation, Mossad sent a text message to pagers that they had been selling through a shell company to the terrorist group. Those pagers had PETN, a powerful explosive, embedded in them. In minutes, hundreds, perhaps thousands of Hezbollah terrorists had been killed or rather important bits blown off.
After Iran and Hezbollah’s leadership told everyone to stop using pagers and start using walkie talkies, phase two kicked off. Yep, they had rigged all their two-way radios as well. (Many many memes have been generated from this) Next Israel started targeting the Hezbollah leadership. They were, as is the wont of terrorists, hiding out in civilian areas. They seemed to think that the old rules applied. Now Hezbollah and Iran have started placing Leadership Help Wanted ads since almost the entire Hezbollah leadership team has been blown away.
Israel’s success in reducing Hezbollah and it’s leadership to either worm food or eunuchs appears to have driven them over the edge and they’ve now launch a ballistic missile barrage on Israel. As I said above, this is a breaking story, (I think the attack is over), so as usual, the 72 hour rule applies. Here are some of the details from Newmax:
Iran’s missile attack on Tuesday was serious and will have consequences, Israel’s military spokesperson said, declining to specify how and when Israel would respond.
I’m not surprised that the IDF won’t say how they will respond. That’s called a “Military secret.” I suggest the Lame Stream Media look up the definition. I suspect that whatever Israel does, it won’t be what Iran or their bestest buddies in Washington, Biden, Harris and the Democrat Party think it might be.
Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said he was not aware of any casualties from the missile volley. He said there were a few hits in the center of the country and in the south.
That isn’t surprising. Israel’s various anti-rocket and missile defenses have developed to the point that they can tell where a missile will land. If there is nothing of importance at the target location, they’ll just let it hit. Weapons heading for population centers though, they fire interceptors and knock them down.
“We are on high alert both defensively and offensively,” Hagari said in a TV broadcast. “We will defend the citizens of the State of Israel. This attack will have consequences. We have plans, and we will operate at the place and time we decide.”
Israel and the United States have warned there would be severe consequences in the event of an attack on Israel from Iran, which backs the militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The warning from the Biden-Harris administration will probably amount to finger wagging and telling them to not do it again, and then send them another pallet load of cash.
Israel probably has something else in mind. We’ll all find out shortly after Iran finds out. After all, they’ve been fucking around for years towards Israel.
Iranian media began posting videos that appeared to show missile launches at several sites across the country. However, the Iranian government did not immediately acknowledge what was happening.
I suspect they were waiting to see how many thousands of Israeli civilians they managed to kill and injure. Those idiots have a bad habit of not thinking through their plans when they cause trouble. This may be why the Iranian leadership has gone into hiding, and is now probably using runners to deliver messages. They’re hoping to avoid what’s happened to Hezbollah and not get blown up.
A senior White House official warned of “severe consequences” should Iran launch a ballistic missile against Israel. U.S. ships and aircraft are positioned in the region to assist Israel in the event of an attack from Iran. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence.
Iranian officials could not be immediately reached for comment.
Gee, I wonder why? Israel also appears to have launched ground attacks into Lebanon to wreck some of the Hezbollah infrastructure.
While Hezbollah denied Israeli troops had entered Lebanon, the Israeli army announced it had also carried out dozens of ground raids into southern Lebanon going back nearly a year. Israel released video footage purporting to show its soldiers operating in homes and tunnels where Hezbollah kept weapons.
If true, it would be another humiliating blow for Iran-backed Hezbollah, the most powerful armed group in the Middle East. Hezbollah has been reeling from weeks of targeted strikes that killed its leader, Hassan Nasrallah, and several of his top commanders.
It looks like the United States also fired a few interceptors at the inbound ballistic missiles, (I wonder if the military has actually ordered replacement ordnance for all the weapons sent to the Ukraine and now shooting down missiles from Iran. Knowing the Woke bubbleheads running the Defense Department and the Democrats in congress, I’ll say probably not.
Thanks to the rank incompetence and stupidity of the Biden-Harris maladministration, the world is now a far more dangerous place then it was four years ago. The mess that Biden and Harris have made of things is frightening people into thinking that we could actually see World War III and the first use of Nuclear weapons since Nagasaki. We’re going to need a dedicated rebuilding of our military, one not seen since the Reagan build up in the 1980’s. It’s going to take a strong leader to fix this disaster and put Iran back in it’s box.
