Good day all. The title of this post is almost a standing headline. Hardly a day goes by that we don’t see something out of Kalifornistan showing the utter contempt by the ruling elites for the average person and reality. The latest bit of stupidity is probably going to drive even more businesses and people from the state.
The latest slap to the taxpayers is a new tax on gasoline. Currently, energy costs in Kalifornistan are the highest in the nation. Now they’re going to get worse. Here are the details from Contra Costa News:
On Friday, November 8th, the California Air Resources Board voted to revamp its climate change program which is estimated to increase gas prices as high as 65 cents. The vote was 12-2 vote.
Ultimately, the changes require gasoline, diesel, and other fuels to meet higher standards for greenhouse gases. It also tweaks how credits are awarded for lower carbon fuels.
The reality is that all this is going to do is make it impossible for people to drive in Kalifornistan as well as jack up costs for everything.
On Saturday morning, November 8th, the average gallon of gas in California costs $4.14 compared to the $3.09 national average. In Contra Costa County, the average is $4.60 per gallon.
Actually gas prices have been declining since the election. Gee, when have we seen that happen before? Currently, the price for regular gas is running around $2.80ish where Anger Central is located.
California State Republicans released the following statement stating , the California Air Resources Board voted to update the Low Carbon Fuel Standard and increase gas prices. Despite estimates this vote could spike prices by another 65 cents a gallon and demands for more transparency from lawmakers, journalists and the public, the board approved the new regulation.
Since when have any of the Progressives Communists running things in Kalifornistan concerned themselves with costs or transparency? Oh wait! The never have!
The vote to increase gas prices comes after Newsom’s special session on gas prices, where new regulations have caused refiners to consider pulling out of California.
They aren’t considering it, they are doing it. Newsom and the Democrats Communists are looking to outright seize refineries. I’ve heard that long haul truckers, who head into the state usually to pick up cargo from the ports, top off their tanks before heading into Kalifornistan to avoid the costs of buying fuel in state.
Kalifornistan, which was once known as California, has descended into Third World status. People are fleeing the state and taking their money with them. Govno Gavin “Hair Gel” Newsom is directly responsible for much of the devastation of what was once known as the “Golden State.” He actually thinks he has a shot at being president some day.
On the other hand, the Republican Party did surprisingly well. President Trump took about 40% of the vote, which was a far higher percentage then anyone expected. As the state continues it’s decline into eventual collapse, perhaps people will finally realize that the Democrat Part is not their friend. If not, then the state is going to collapse economically.
