Good day all. Now that the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, has been reelected, two things are happening, First, President Trump has begun bringing in people who will manage the roundup of the millions of illegal aliens in the country.
Second, the Progressives Liberal Democrats running blue city and states are going off the deep end, saying they will “Protect their citizens.” Of course, in what passes for their minds, the “Citizens they’re talking about aren’t actual citizens or in any way lawfully in the United States. One of these idiots is the mayor of Denver, Colorado, Mike Johnston. He’s been mouthing off that he will instruct the Denver Police to resist ICE. Here are the details from the New York Post:
Denver’s mayor has vowed to shield migrants in his sanctuary city from mass deportation by using local cops and 50,000 residents “stationed at the county line” — calling it a “Tiananmen Square moment.”
“More than us having [federal agents] stationed at the county line to keep them out, you would have 50,000 Denverites there,” Democratic Mayor Mike Johnston recently told the outlet Denverite — after President-elect Donald Trump vowed to undertake mass deportations of illegal migrants across the US.
“It’s like the Tiananmen Square moment … right?” said Johnston, referring to the famous caught-on-video showdown between a Chinese student and government tank in Tiananmen Square in China during the 1989 rebellion there.
“You’d have every one of those Highland moms who came out for the migrants. And you do not want to mess with them,” the mayor said of Denver residents apparently prepared to go to the mat against the federal government.
Right now, this moron is just mouthing off. President Trump is not yet in office so nothing is going to happen regarding rounding up the illegals. However, warnings are being issued from the new “Border Czar Designate” Tom Horman. He’s saying “The times, they are a’changing.” If Johnston actually does try to interfere, he is going to be criminally charged, and the new Attorney General Designate, Pam Bondi, will prosecute.
Roughly 40,000 migrants have flocked to the Mile High City since December 2022 — the largest number of new arrivals per capita across the nation. With that influx came a surge in migrant crime tied to the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua.
This is the gang that has been terrorizing the suburbs of Denver, specifically Aurora. The political elites in Colorado denied was actually doing what the video evidence showed them doing.
Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky (R) told The Post that Johnston’s plan “will just further show how unproductive he is in one of the country’s so-called sanctuary cities, which discourage or prevent local authorities from cooperating with federal immigration agents in the case of migrants.
From the little I know about the TdA, they have not been making to much noise in Denver proper. They are using the city as a base of operations and actually doing their worst crimes outside the city limits. Johnston, like the Colorado Govno, Jared Polis, has been denying that there is any problem with this gang of Venezuelan criminals. Kind of makes you wonder if they might be getting certain “Campaign contributions” of some sort.
“If Mayor Johnston wants to stand at the Denver border with, I believe he said, Highland moms, or something to that effect, it will just further show how unproductive he is,” Jurinsky said. “Aurora does not plan to provide the Trump administration any assistance, as far as I know, but we will certainly not stand in the way of what the American people voted for.”
As I recall from the maps, Colorado went for Harris. From a map I found online, it looks like the big cities went for the Hooker and the Deserter and the more rural areas went for President Trump. Even in the People’s Republic of Kalifornistan, President Trump did far better then anyone expected. Add to that, a couple more Soro’s DA’s were shown the door around the country and you can see people are fed up.
Some of the Democrats, after the repeated beatings to the head, are beginning to see that the policies supporting illegal aliens over Americans is not going as they had expected. However, the Mayor of Denver isn’t one of those Democrats.
The pressure of a hawkish new administration in the White House won’t change Denver’s status as a sanctuary city, Johnston said.
“The short answer is, we won’t change that, because those are one of our core values. And we’re not going to sell out those values to anyone. We’re not going to be bullied into changing them,” Johnston said.
“I think we are gonna continue to be a welcoming, open, big-hearted city that’s gonna stand by our values.”
And you will spend every dime the taxpayers have to prove this. Well, I have news for this moron. If he actually tries to protect these criminals, and the rest of the Denver City government backs him, he and they are going to find out that most Americans are not going to look kindly on him. Tom Homan has already announced the statute that Johnston will be violating. He has also told these sanctuary cities that they can help or get out of the way.
Trump’s pick for “border czar,” Tom Homan, told The Post that his hope is the new White House administration will file lawsuits against sanctuary cities and withhold federal funding from them.
I think that’s a given. What happens after that is on Johnston and the other Democrat office holders.
If that doesn’t change their ways, the Trump administration will “flood” those areas with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to wait outside local jails for illegal migrants to be released, he said.
Johnston also said he won’t allow local law enforcement to assist the feds in making arrests of illegal migrants.
“Absolutely not,” Johnston said. “We won’t do it.”
Technically, local law enforcement officers are not legally required to enforce federal laws. However, many local police officers are just as fed up with the waves of criminals that have invaded the United States as most Americans, and frankly, most lawful resident aliens are. However, Johnston is also saying that he will have the local police protect illegal aliens. At that point, Johnston can be indicted.
I suspect what Johnston is hoping for is that President Trump sends in the Army with tanks and he can be seen as the “Shopping bag man” of Tienanmen Square. He was the man who just happened to be passing by with a couple of bags of groceries when he saw the tanks approaching. He literally just stood in their way.
If Johnston and the City Government does try to pull this manure, President Trump won’t send in the military. There is plenty he can do, all of it within the letter of the Law and the Constitution. The absolute worst case scenario would be blocking all access to Denver, cutting off the water and power, and then simply waiting. It won’t take long for Johnston and his supporters being handed over to the U.S. Marshals and taken away to stand trial.
As much as it pains me to say it, there is a good chance that at least one Democrat mayor or governor will need to be made an example of. Under that scenario, it won’t be the law regarding aiding illegal aliens that will be used, (Although that will be on the list), it will be sedition, conspiracy. The problem with Johnston is that he is to stupid to understand that this is no longer a game. Well, it will suck to be him.
