Good day all. Back in 2021 there was a protest that got a bit out of hand. There were a few bad actors who caused damage and a huge number who entered the Capitol Building and basically acted like tourists. Nancy Pelosi decided to use this to “Get Trump!” calling what happened an insurrection.
Pelosi then created a star chamber called the United States House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack. The J6 committee was itself investigated, (Which is continuing), for what appears to be a lot of questionable actions. The members of the committee have denounced the oversight committee investigations. However, it looks like that the chairman of the Committee, Representative Bernie Sanders may be looking for one of the Biden pardons. Here are some of the details from USA Today:
Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson, former chair of the House Jan. 6 committee, said Thursday that he would accept a pre-emptive pardon from President Joe Biden out of fear that President-elect Donald Trump might target him with a criminal investigation.
“It’s his prerogative. If he offers it to me or other members of the committee … I would accept it, but it’s his choice,” Thompson said during an appearance on CNN Thursday morning.
So why would you feel the need to accept a pardon? Did you commit a criminal act? Are you worried that your actions could lead an actual indictment? A criminal trial? Potentially conviction and spending a few years as a guest of the federal bureau of prisons? Inquiring minds want to know!
Biden is said to be weighing preemptive pardons for a slew of figures he believes could become targets of criminal prosecutions under Trump’s next administration, after the former president suggested during the presidential campaign he would enact revenge on his opponents if elected again.
Without question there needs to be a serious review of the last eight years regarding the Deep State’s multiple coup attempts against the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, and the massive and unconstitutional actions by the Biden DoJ, FBI a fair number of judges, certain members of congress and the entire Maladministration.
This doesn’t mean that hundreds of Democrat operatives are going to end up in prison. It does mean we need to know what they did and see how we can keep them from doing it again. The problem comes with the pardons. First, it shows that yes, these people did engage in a criminal conspiracy, and that they were and continue to be a direct threat to the United States and the American people.
Second, and more importantly, while the blanket pardons the Democrat Criminal Class is looking for and may receive, it also means that they will lose their 5th amendment right to remain silent for any federal crime they engaged in during the time period of the pardon. I suspect the Biden Crime Family is beginning to understand that Dementia Joe’s blanket pardon for Hoovernose may come back to bite them on the backside and hard.
Thompson on Thursday argued he does not need a pardon because he didn’t do anything wrong and stands by the work of the committee. But he said he would accept one because he fears the president-elect will enact revenge anyway.
“I take them in their word. Retribution has been a constant comment out of the incoming president’s mouth,” Thompson said. “I’ve never heard an elected official other than the incoming President talk about retribution.”
There is no question that the incoming administration is going to look at getting some payback after all President Trump and his supporters have gone through for the last 4-8 years. However, and this is where the Trump administration differs from the Democrats and the Biden maladministration, The Trump team will follow the law and the Constitution TO THE LETTER.
They won’t play the games that Garland, Wray and Thompson have been engaged in. If there is nothing there, then Bernie Thompson has absolutely nothing to worry about. His saying that he would take a pardon tells me that he is suffering from a guilty conscious and perhaps some actual fear that his actions may not have been all that legal or above board. We’ll see what happens next.
