Good day all. I happened to stumble across this story while looking for something else. There is a report, initially from CNN, (So do your due diligence before accepting it), that the Philadelphia District Attorney, Larry Krasner, may be looking for ways to prosecute January 6 recipients of President Trump’s pardon.
To date, the only source for this is from CNN’s Marshall Cohen. How accurate this is, I am unable to say, especially since CNN. In any case, here are the details from CNN:
Philadelphia’s top prosecutor said Tuesday that he is exploring filing state charges against convicted January 6 rioters who were pardoned by President Donald Trump.

The comments from Larry Krasner, a Democrat and self-described progressive prosecutor, are the first indication that state and local law enforcement officials might try to push back against Trump’s mass clemency for his supporters who stormed the US Capitol in 2021.
Oh yes, a “Progressive Prosecutor.” This means he’s a Soros DA and won’t prosecute actual crimes if it’s the “Wrong sort” of criminals, but will happily abuse his office to go after anyone he deems deserving punishment, even if no crime was committed.
Now President Trump’s pardons are only for federal crimes. The thing is, in Washington D.C., especially on the Capitol Hill, everything is Federal property and therefor is a federal crime. This doesn’t seem to be slowing down Krasner, if this story is accurate.
Krasner said he is examining whether there is a legal path to file state charges against January 6 convicts who assaulted police or conspired with far-right extremist groups, like the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. He said his office is reviewing federal charging documents to see what conduct may have been left out — and not covered by the pardons.
Not unless these alleged crimes happened in either Philadelphia or Pennsylvania. The last I checked, Washington D.C. is not under this commie’s jurisdiction.
“To the extent the federal charging encompasses everything we’re talking about, then this argument probably fails, but I am very doubtful that it encompasses everything that we’re talking about,” Krasner told CNN in an interview on Tuesday. “You can have a state prosecution for conduct that was not fully encompassed in the federal prosecution.”
Yes, IF the offenses that were federally prosecuted occurred in a state with similar laws. There is still a potential double jeopardy issue, but I’ve never heard of a progressive prosecutor being all that concerned when they were generating a politically motivated prosecution.
A few Pennsylvania laws could be in play, Krasner said, including statutes that criminalize using a phone or computer to break the law, state conspiracy laws, or state election laws.
Good luck with that. This would be seen as really stretching the statutes. Of course, this DA is a Communist.
“Those of us who actually believe in the rule of law, and actually believe in the law, and actually believe in order — in other words, those of us who are not MAGA — intend to preserve the values, traditions, laws and Constitution of the United States,” Krasner said. “And that means accountability for the co-conspirators of the 34-time felon president.”
That statement should tell you all you need to know about this scum bag. He is going to try and initiate politically motivates prosecutions on those returning home after being jailed under federal politically motivated prosecutions. Obviously, he hasn’t been paying to much attention to what happened last November and since last Monday.
If this POS were to actually try and arrest some of these people, it could backfire badly for him. How badly? Badly in the sense of really bad things happening.

Personally, I don’t want that sort of thing to happen. However, we have people who the Biden Maladministration destroyed for one reason only. They supported the Greatest President of the 21st century, Donald Trump. I do think that if he tries, there is a very good chance that the new Attorney General of the United States, Pam Bondi and the new director of the FBI, Kash Patel, might start looking into the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office. Let’s just hope he’s making noise for everyone’s sake.
