Good day all. Recently the news came out that President Trump is going to authorize sending in troops to Portland to protect Federal facilities from Antifa’s terrorist activities. Antifa, on the other hand, is looking to ramp things up to civil war levels. This has led the governor of Oregon to figure out that, perhaps, just maybe, President Trump is actually serious.
For months, as ICE has been rounding up illegal aliens and deporting them from the United States. Antifa, which had been somewhat quiet during the maladministration of the Joe Biden handlers, began flat out attacking ICE agents and facilities with Portland Oregon being ground zero.
With the shooting of several detainees at an ICE facility in Texas by a Leftard Antifa supporter and the assassination of Charlie Kirk by another, President Trump came to the decision that the time had come to go all in and shut down the Democrats and their Antifa shock troops. He announced that he will be sending in troops to protect the Federal buildings in Portland, Now the Governor is calling for calm. Here are the details from Newsmax:
Oregon state and local leaders are preparing for a battle with President Donald Trump. Gov. Tina Kotek posted on Saturday in a message to state residents that they should “stay calm.” At issue is Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops to assist federal immigration efforts and address national security concerns.
It isn’t just the deployment of the troops, it’s the Rules of Engagement. He has said they will go in with the instructions to use “Full Force” if required.
Trump posted on Saturday that Portland needs to be cleaned up. “I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists.”
The response by State and local authorities has been the usual Leftard response. Run off to the closest Obama or Biden judge and get a restraining order. Here are some of those details from the Oregon Capitol Chronicle:
Oregon leaders say they are prepared to litigate and legislate against President Donald Trump’s potential mobilization of the National Guard in Portland following his comments last week vowing to “clean up” the state’s largest city and “wipe out” protesters.
President Trump, as usual, likes to engage in over the top rhetoric. However, unlike the Democrats, as much as they will deny it, he does follow the law and the Constitution. In truth, any military forces will be limited in their deployment and scope of authority. Basically, they will protect federal facilities from illegal attacks by the Leftist protesters.
Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said in a statement he was coordinating with Gov. Tina Kotek and various state attorneys general with the promise of taking Trump to court “when he oversteps his authority.” His office has been preparing for the scenario of National Guard deployment since Trump took office in January, he said.
“What happened in California is proof,” he said. “A federal judge ruled that President Trump’s deployment of thousands of National Guard troops and Marines in Los Angeles was illegal — blocking the use of military force as domestic law enforcement and permanently banning similar deployments in the future.”
Small problem with that. It’s already been overturned. You also have a small problem with Antifa. That pack of violent terrorists is all in on attacking federal forces. They are putting out a call for “Reinforcements.” Here are those details from RedState:

This is a significant escalation. As is so often the case, the independent journalist and Antifa foe Andy Ngo broke the news.

Andy Ngo has been a target of Antifa’s for years and is, to be blunt, lucky to still be alive.
It is belaboring the obvious to note that this could get really ugly, really fast. Since the president only announced the deployment on Saturday, it’s unlikely any significant number of federal forces have yet to be deployed.
I don’t think any have yet. I’ve also not heard if they are going to be National Guard or regular forces. In any case, they are not going to be used for law enforcement duties, only as additional security forces for the federal facilities, such as the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility that Antifa and their fellow travelers have been trying to burn to the ground for the last few months. I suspect this is what has caused Govno Kotex to try and calm things down. Returning to the Newsmax story:
The Chronicle reported that Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield said his office is coordinating with Governor Kotek and other state attorneys general to take legal action if the president oversteps his authority.
Rayfield cited a recent California federal court ruling that blocked the use of National Guard troops and Marines in Los Angeles, limiting similar deployments there.
Rayfield didn’t mention the lower court ruling was blocked by a federal appeals panel.
There are other issues at play too. The Democrats have gone all in on supporting criminals and outright enemies of the United States and are moving to flat out insurrection and open armed rebellion. In other words, they are coming across as being all in on started the Second American Civil War. The level of blind hatred for President Donald Trump, the Republican Party and anyone who supports them and/or the basic ideals of Making America Great Again, has reach the level of a form of mental illness.
In Congress, Oregon lawmakers have pursued measures to limit federal deployments. Representatives reintroduced 2020 legislation in July to prevent deployment of federal law enforcement without request from a governor or mayor.
Good luck with that. The Portland City Government has already refused to come to the assistance of federal agents who are literally fighting off physical attacks on them and federal facilities. I consider it a small miracle that the federal agents haven’t been forced to shoot anyone.
At the state level, Oregon considered House Bill 3954, which would have restricted the state National Guard from supporting federal law or immigration enforcement except in limited capacities, and prevented activations that would compromise the Guard’s ability to respond to emergencies such as wildfires. The bill passed the House but died in the Senate after procedural delays and is expected to be reintroduced.
Again, good luck with that. The National Guard is a reserve force for the United States Army. If President Trump activates them, he is basically federalizing them. At that point, all control by the governor ends.
Local Portland officials have also voiced opposition. Mayor Keith Wilson emphasized that the city did not request federal intervention and said that local police have managed protests near the city’s ICE facility while protecting constitutional rights.
That’s not what the record is showing. In fact, the thugs of Antifa might just have pulled the biggest bonehead maneuver of all time. Here are those details from the Gateway Pundit:
Radical anarchists reportedly firebombed the tour bus of rapper Ice Cube, apparently confusing it for an ICE deportation vehicle.
The fire occurred early Tuesday morning, September 23, 2025, shortly after Ice Cube’s performance at the Moda Center on his “Truth to Power: 4 Decades of Attitude Tour.”
Video footage showed the tour bus with its front passenger tire on fire and heavy smoke rising from the vehicle parked near Southwest Broadway and Oak Street, according to KPTV.
No one was injured and the fire was quickly extinguished. However investigators are treating it as “Suspicious.” When I first saw this on a post on Faceplant, it also mentioned that Antifa might have just crossed a line they can’t cross back from. While I don’t follow Ice Cube at all and have no interest in what he refers to as music, others like him the way Swifties like Taylor Swift. They’re rather fanatical about it.
These other people are also affiliated with certain organizations that Law Enforcement has serious issues with. MS-13, the Crypts, The Bloods and I think TdA. If these people decide to take issue with Antifa over trying to burn Ice Cube alive, then things are going to get REALLY interesting in Portland.
I have a feeling that Govno Kotex is probably more concerned with these gangs coming in and “Dealing” with Antifa and the other protesters then she is with President Trump deploying troops to guard federal property. At least professional soldiers understand things like trigger discipline and verifying target before firing. In any case, I expect things to get really interesting in the next few weeks.
