Good day all. One of the things that the government has stopped spending money on are SNAP payments. SNAP, which stands for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is money for food stamps. When the money ran out and UpChuck Schumer decided to shut down the government, the money for that program ran out.

This has sent a panic through the most useless leeches of society. It’s also putting the Democrats into a panic as well since these are the very people they bribe to vote for them. Now the “Usual Suspects” have filed suit to force the government to fund SNAP. Here are the details from the New York Post:
More than two dozen states filed a lawsuit Tuesday accusing the US Department of Agriculture of illegally cutting off food assistance to over 42 million Americans during the government shutdown.
This should be amusing. I wonder how the expect a judge to issue an order to spend money that the Dept. of Agriculture legally can’t spend and doesn’t have?
New York Attorney General Letitia James and 25 other Democratic state leaders, including those in the District of Columbia, blasted the USDA’s decision to suspend November payments for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, arguing it violates federal law.
They have to suspend the payments. There isn’t any more money. It doesn’t matter what the law states. (I don’t know what law these fools are referring to either, and frankly, I don’t care)
“Millions of Americans are about to go hungry because the federal government has chosen to withhold food assistance it is legally obligated to provide,” James said in a statement.
James might want to spend more time working on her criminal defense especially since a new report came out that the majority of people getting SNAP are not American citizens and a very large number appear to be illegal aliens.
“SNAP is one of our nation’s most effective tools to fight hunger, and the USDA has the money to keep it running. There is no excuse for this administration to abandon families who rely on SNAP, or food stamps, as a lifeline. The federal government must do its job to protect families,” she added.
No actually, it isn’t. It was meant to be a temporary measure for people who were in a bad situation. What it’s mutated into is a multi-generational hand out to the “Gimme” crowd. For every person truly in need, you have 50 that look like they could afford to miss a few dozen meals. I won’t bother talking about the non-citizens and illegal aliens on the program.
SNAP benefits were safe in October because states received federal funding before the government shutdown began on Oct. 1. But this Saturday could mark the first lapse in SNAP funding in 60 years.

The attorneys general of Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia, as well as the governors of Kansas, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania, have joined in the lawsuit.
You will notice that not one of those states is managed by Republicans?

The coalition criticized the USDA for not utilizing $6 billion in contingency funds to sustain SNAP operations during the funding lapse.
I am aware of those contingency funds, however I don’t have any information on how they are to be utilized. I don’t think that handing it to welfare queens is at the top of the list.
The states also argued that the move violates the Food and Nutrition Act, which requires that “assistance under this program shall be furnished to all eligible households,” as well as the Administrative Procedure Act, alleging the axing of benefits is “arbitrary and capricious,” the AG’s office said.
I hate to be the one to break it to these commies, but if there is no money appropriated, then there is no money that can be spent. Period. Full Stop. I believe it actually says this in the Constitution. Of course, that is a document that the average Democrat politician and judge considers to be a flawed and obsolete document that has no relevance in the modern world.
The lawsuit seeks a temporary restraining order to force the USDA to put the contingency funds towards November SNAP benefits to prevent residents from losing access to food.
And to repeat myself, good luck with that. While I have no doubt that these commies will go judge shopping and will find a Biden, Obama or Clinton judge who will issue the order, it can’t be enforced and would be unconstitutional. It would also drive another nail into the coffin of the judicial branch.
James and 22 other attorneys general already wrote to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins on Friday, requesting that the government use the funds to cover most of the benefits.
In response, the Trump administration declared it would not use the contingency funds, claiming they weren’t “legally available.”
A USDA memo that surfaced Friday maintained that “contingency funds are not legally available to cover regular benefits,” and cited major hurricane Melissa as a reason to reserve funds for people in disaster areas.
The memo contradicts a since-deleted shutdown plan prepared by the USDA earlier in the year, which maintained that the department is legally obligated to continue issuing SNAP benefits during a shutdown, The Hill reported.
I suspect that someone talked with lawyers, and they are looking at a number of different things, one of them being disaster relief. However, several Republicans have looked at a bill to fund SNAP. However, the money is already been appropriated in the Continuing Resolution and the upcoming Budget Bill. The problem is the Democrats. They won’t vote to reopen the government unless they get $1+ trillion dollars for illegal aliens.

In the mean time, the Welfare queens are showing why they are not getting any sympathy from the taxpayers. They are threatening to riot and loot if their welfare payments are stopped. Here are those details from the New York Post:
SNAP recipients are taking to TikTok and threatening to loot grocery stores if their food stamp payments don’t go through on Nov. 1 due to the government shutdown.

“I’ma tell y’all straight up like this, I just got that text that the link is definitely cut the f–k off for November. Y’all better stay the f–k out of my way in these stores because I’m walking out with carts and I’m not paying for s–t,” one angry SNAP recipient fumed on TikTok.
Another added: “You know what? Since they wanna take food stamps away, I’m gonna go to f–king Walmart, grab anything I damn want, put that s–t right in the basket and walk right up out that b—h … I’m not paying for a damn thing,” said another.
Good luck with that you fat lazy deadbeats. You try looting, you might find that the store owners are going to start shooting. People have had it with these worthless, lazy, ignorant slobs. They aren’t going to put up with another “Fiery but mostly peaceful” protest.
If they want to blame someone, they should blame the Democrat Party. They have made a decision to use their welfare class as hostages and they don’t care if they starve. Of course, one thing these members of the deadbeat class can do is “GET A JOB!” Most of them have never done a day’s work in their lives. This is why their threats and demands for sympathy are falling on deaf ears,
Another woman blamed President Trump for the closure.
Of course because she has been told it’s Trump’s fault.
“Trump done f–ked up. Let’s just make it clear, ok? He’s talking about people not getting food stamps in November, and probably not December. He better get ready, because it’s about to go down,” she said.
“What you gonna learn is you don’t play with black people’s food stamps, OK? So get ready, ’cause people are about to just start taking s–t.”
Not that this useless slob voted for President Trump, if she voted at all. She has been told that it’s all the Republicans fault. You can tell them that The Republicans passed a bill in the House that would have kept everything open, sent it to the Senate and that it was UpChuck Schumer and the Democrats who refused to keep the government open.

I’m at the point of saying fine. Cut off the money. The whole damn program is out of control anyway. I doubt that most of these recipients are really all that hard up. They are just flat out lazy. I doubt that the real number of people who need a bit of help exceeds 1 million.
The lawsuit will fail of course. If there is no money available, Progressive judges can issue orders until they are blue in the face. They do not have the constitutional authority to order the executive or legislative branches to spend money. Of course, it’s not impossible that this case ends up in front of a judge who actually understands this and throws the entire case into the nearest trash receptacle.

You seem to have missed out on the progressive judge that the suit came to gave the states what they wanted. She allowed the government to decide to what degree they’ll use the contingency funds, but they’ve been ordered to use them. I haven’t seen anything on an appeal, yet, but I’m assuming the Trump admin is appealing to the SCOTUS.

I saw that late yesterday and will have something to say about it. Legal Insurrection already does. They violated the constitution…again.
Personally I think they should all have to requalify before they get anymore benefits.
