Musings of the Angry Webmaster

Hello all, this is the Angry Systems Administrator. Well, it seems something else has broken on the back end. If you attempt to rate a post, much like Joe Biden, it just spins and hangs.

I suspect that this is tied into the problems we had last weekend when all of our sites were offline for about 5 hours. According to the Hosting Service, the web server service had stopped. They restarted it, however I think something else may have gone sideways.

I recall this happening years ago and we had to find a new rating system. I’m not sure that we will bother this time. The Angry Blowhard will keep adding the tags of course. I have a suspicion it’s going to take a full restart of the actual server.

Another issue is that our original hosting company has been sold to a new company and and they aren’t that familiar with the hardware they’ve acquired. I will keep banging away where I can of course, with my headphones on so I don’t have to listen to the Angry Webmaster screaming.
