Democrats still refuse to accept 2nd Amendment

Good day all. This came out Friday, which is why there hasn’t been much coverage of it. One of the most militant anti-Second Amendment Democrats has introduced a bill to force gun owners to buy liability insurance.

The Representative, (and I use the term advisedly), in question, House Democrat Rep. Carolyn Maloney (N.Y. Barking Moonbat) wants to force anyone with a gun to buy insurance or pay a $10,000.00 fine. Here are some of the details from The Hill:

The Firearm Risk Protection Act, unveiled Friday, would require gun buyers to have liability insurance coverage before being allowed to purchase a weapon, and would impose a fine of $10,000 if an owner is found not to have it. Service members and law enforcement officers, however, would be exempt from the requirement.

And what is this Nazi cow’s reasoning?

“We require insurance to own a car, but no such requirement exists for guns,” Maloney said in a statement. “The results are clear: car fatalities have declined by 25 percent in the last decade, but gun fatalities continue to rise.”

The reason for fatalities from the use of firearms comes from several things. First, citizens shooting criminals. Second, criminals shooting each other and anyone else they see. Third, police shooting criminals, dogs, cats and the occasional innocent bystander.

Maloney said auto insurance carriers incentivize drivers to take precautions to reduce accidents, but no such incentives exist for firearm owners.

Wrong. The reason that car fatalities have dropped is due to better made cars, nothing more. There are a number of states, such as New Hampshire, that do not require automobile insurance. You are an idiot if you don’t have it. Then there is the issue of driving a car verses owning a gun.

There has been a debate going back to when the car was invented on whether driving is a right or a privilege. There is no debate regarding the right to keep and bear arms. It says you can in the Constitution. (Yes, moonbats will argue that it’s only for the military, but that is something to laugh at another day)

“An insurance requirement would allow the free market to encourage cautious behavior and help save lives,” she said. “Adequate liability coverage would also ensure that the victims of gun violence are fairly compensated when crimes or accidents occur.”

This quote demonstrates that Moonbat Maloney knows absolutely nothing about handling firearms. Anyone who owns a firearm knows that it is a dangerous tool if mishandled or misused. So is a chainsaw. The overwhelming majority of firearms owners are very careful with their property They follow the four basic rules of firearms ownership and handling:

1. The 1st Law – The Gun Is Always Loaded!
2. The 2nd Law – Never Point The Gun At Something You Are Not Prepared To Destroy!
3. The 3rd Law – Always Be Sure Of Your Target And What Is Behind It!
4. The 4th Law – Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until Your Sights Are On The Target!

These laws/rules might vary in verbiage, but the basic rule is caution and common sense. However, common sense is something totally missing from Progressives, Liberals and Barking Moonbats. Maloney and others of her ilk refuse to concede that the voters have spoken and that they do understand that the Second Amendment means that we, the people, have the right to keep and bear arms.

This bill, and the others like it that she keeps introducing won’t make it to the floor of the house, and probably not even out of committee. Even if, by some miracle, it was passed and signed into law, it would be challenged and declared unconstitutional.

Why? Because it interferes with people accessing their constitutional rights, that’s why. But then, when has any Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrat given a rats behind about the constitution, the rights of the people or even acknowledged their existence as anything other than the property of the Government? (Or the Democrat Party)

People like Maloney, Bloomberg, Obama and Holder are outright threats to the people of this nation. They will never stop until the constitution has been scrapped in total and they are turning this once free nation into their own personal fiefdoms.
