Good day all. When the Republicans passed, and President Trump signed into law, the new tax cuts now kicking in, the Progressive Democrats, led by Senile Pelosi scoffed at them.
They started out with “Tax cuts for the Rich!!!” and then came up with the Pelosi classic, “$1000 dollars? That’s bread crumbs! Totally meaningless!!” As someone who was paid last week, (YAY!!), I saw a nice bump in my take home. This has led to a rather big problem for the Progressive Liberal Elite Democrats. After first swallowing their lies, people are now seeing the truth in their bank accounts. This is making the tax cuts rather popular, despite the lies by the Progressive Democrats and their minions in the Media. Now they are beginning to get a bit worried about November. Here are the details from the Washington Examiner:
Democrats are struggling to cope with the rising popularity of the Republican tax law, less than nine months until the midterm elections.
Democrats received a wake-up call of sorts earlier this week when Priorities USA, a top Democratic super PAC, released a memo calling on Democrats to message more consistently against the tax law. The law’s standing has increased in the polls as GOP groups pitch the tax cuts to voters as a solid Republican accomplishment.
“I think the memo is spot on. Absolutely spot on,” said Rep. Cheri Bustos, D-Ill., one of the 12 House Democrats who sit in districts where Trump won in 2016.
“We have to stay focused on this,” Bustos said. “You’ve got the budget, the tax bill and transportation that adds up to disaster in many parts of our country and leaves terrible debt for our kids and our grandkids. We’ve got a lot to work with right now, but we’ve got to focus on that. Not all of the other diversions that come up every single day.”
So, you think the Democrats should campaign on “We must raise taxes!” in November? I think that’s a great idea. As for campaigning on being the “Fiscally responsible party,” after doubling the debt under Der Fubar, and a long history of spending other people’s money?
According to the memo, Trump’s marks on both the economy and taxes have grown by double-digits over the past few months. Another poll released this week shows Republicans leading in the generic congressional ballot for the first time, largely due to the rise in popularity of the tax bill, forcing Democrats to reexamine their messaging in the coming months.
The first problem is all this polling saying the Democrats are going to win in a landslide in November. They aren’t. We learned just how reliable the polls have been. Just ask President Felonia von Pantsuit. Oh, wait. She lost, didn’t she? This was after the polls said she was going to be a shoe in.
Republicans continue to see the bill as their saving grace in their push to keep hold of the House and, to a lesser extent the Senate.
Considering just how incompetent Eddie Munster and Mitch McCockless have been, not to mention the Republicans showing they are truly the “Party of Stupid,” it’s a miracle they haven’t been lynched yet. As it is, a fair number are going to have their heads handed to them in the Primaries next year, along with the RINO’s who have announce their retirements “Due to ill health.” (The GOP Base is sick of them)
House Republicans also have seized on House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s characterization of the tax law, which she said is only giving “crumbs” back to taxpayers. Democrats from red states believe that was a mistake, but Pelosi continues to use that line.
“The approach has to be more big picture than personal, because you can’t tell people that are getting $200 a month more that that’s not good,” said Rep. John Yarmuth, D-Ky., ranking member on the House Budget Committee. “That’s big money for a lot of people.” “I would say it differently,” Yarmuth said. “I wouldn’t say a couple thousand dollars a year is ‘crumbs.'”
I take it you aren’t a rich elitist liberal then? To San Fran Nan, the Senile one, who is filthy rich, it is bread crumbs. I also encourage her to continue in that vein as more people find jobs, get bonuses and pay hikes, and generally start feeling pretty good about the future. In fact, I think I have the Progressive Democrat campaign theme for the mid-terms. Instead of “Make America Great Again,” How about “Make American like Venezuela soon!”
Democrats are being urged to point out the disparity between immediate benefits for lower and middle-class Americans and the nation’s top earners, especially as they head home for the next week during the week-long recess. However, they see an uphill slog against the GOP messaging and the rising paychecks some voters are experiencing.
“It’s tougher to win when people are seeing more money,” Yarmuth said, although he believes noting the disparity between the rich and other taxpayers will eventually resonate with voters.
Spoken like a true Progressive. Never mind that the actual benefits aren’t going to the “Rich” this time, it’s going to the middle class for once. The rich are losing their deductions on home mortgages, and the high tax states are going to lose the subsidies they’ve been getting from the low tax states. This means the Progressive Democrats wealthy benefactors are actually going to have to fork over some money to the IRS.
The current problem with the Republican party can be laid directly at the feet of people like McConnell and Ryan. We also have lying sacks of shit by the name of John McCain and Jeff Flake, who would have preferred Felonia von Pantsuit as president then Donald Trump. Flake is “Retiring” since his poll numbers have cratered, and McSlime is just waiting out the clock until he’s carried out of the senate, feet first.
The only thing these worthless cowards have accomplished was getting this tax cut through. We’re going to have to wait until we crush the RINO’s in November and get a new, moree representative house and senate in 2019 to get anything meaningful done. As for the Progressive Democrats? They ran out of ideas a century ago, and now are only interested in absolute power.
It’s time to get rid of both sides of the Beltway Uniparty, and telling people who have finally gotten decent jobs and more money in their pockets that the Democrats are going to take it away from them is a great idea. They should really run on that. The GOP(e) morons can run on…No, they should just go away and let people who actually keep their word take office.
