Good Day all. A few days ago, Attorney General Jeff Sessions finally removed his thumb from his ass and started doing something about Kalifornistan’s outright refusal to follow the laws and Constitution with regards to illegal aliens. He’s suing them.

Since Donald Trump won the election, even before he was sworn in, Kalifornistan has put illegal aliens ahead of American citizens and resident legal aliens, to the point of protecting outright felons. Once President Trump was sworn in, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, (ICE), went to work and started rounding up the illegals.
In response, Kalifornistan’s legislature made it illegal to help the Federal government round up the criminals. The final straw, as it were, was the Mayor of Oakland warning all the illegals that ICE was going to do a round up. This may have been the straw that broke the camel’s back, and the DoJ sued Kalifornistan. Here are some of the details from Fox News:
The Trump Justice Department filed a lawsuit Tuesday night against California, saying three recently-passed state laws were deliberately interfering with federal immigration policies. It marked the latest legal and political confrontation with the nation’s most populous state, which the federal government says has repeatedly stood in the way of its plans to step up enforcement actions in the workplace and against criminal aliens.
“The Department of Justice and the Trump Administration are going to fight these unjust, unfair, and unconstitutional policies,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions was expected to tell California law enforcement officers on Wednesday. “We are fighting to make your jobs safer and to help you reduce crime in America.”

This has led to the Kalifornistan’s politboro going off the deep end and announcing that this is war. Here are some of those details from the Sacramento Bee:
Gov. Jerry Brown on Wednesday slammed U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions for “initiating a reign of terror” against immigrants in California.
Sessions on Tuesday filed suit against the state over three new laws, passed last year to protect immigrants living in California illegally, that he argues violate the supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution and interfere with federal immigration enforcement.
A note here. The Sacramento Bee, along with most of the Mostly Stupid Media, is confusing Immigrants with illegal aliens. There is a big difference. A lawful immigrant comes to the United States with all the proper documentation with the intent to follow American Laws, and hopefully, become productive members of American society and eventually, American citizens. Illegal Aliens don’t do any of that. In any case, here is what the Moonbat in chief in Kalifornistan had to say about the lawsuit.
“This is basically going to war against the state of California, the engine of the American economy,” Brown said. “It’s not wise, it’s not right and it will not stand.”
Wanna bet dumbass? You morons have killed the goose that laid the golden state and turned it into the People’s Democratic Republic of Kalifornistan. People are fleeing in droves and businesses are closing their doors.
Brown and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra held a press conference at the Capitol to defend the laws following a speech by Sessions to a law enforcement conference in downtown Sacramento on Wednesday morning. In the speech, which Brown dismissed as a “political stunt,” Sessions accused California officials of creating an open borders system and trying to secede from the United States.
Well they have been trying to push through Calexit. The Kalifornistan Attorney General, Becerra, has a history of basically ignoring the Constitution, at least those parts he doesn’t like. It sure sounds like these morons are trying for their version of the Confederate States of Kalifornistan to me.
“It’s about dividing America,” Brown said, adding that Sessions was acting more like Fox News than the country’s top law enforcement official. “I call upon him to apologize to the people of California for bringing the mendacity of Washington to California and trying to insert discord and division, and I might add dysfunctionality, in a state that’s really working.”
Forget ICE, I think the DEA may want to look into who is supplying these idiots with their recreational pharmaceuticals. As to apologizing? Here’s my response to that.
Senate Bill 54, Assembly Bill 103 and Assembly Bill 450 – the three laws that Sessions sued over – restrict California law enforcement officials from cooperating on federal immigration actions, limit the ability of local jails to contract with the federal government to house immigrant detainees, and require employers to ask for a warrant before allowing immigration authorities to conduct a workplace raid.
Needless to say, I’m not a lawyer, but I do know that all local law enforcement officials are sworn to both their state constitutions and the United States Constitution. The Kalifornistan law basically tells local law enforcement to ignore federal law, putting local police in a tight spot.
The law about requiring a warrant is another thing that is very questionable. When ICE conducts a search for illegal aliens, they aren’t looking for contraband items such as drugs or elephant tusks. That would require a warrant and they would get one. In this case, they are looking for active criminals and are basically in hot pursuit. There are a number of federal laws on the books, and I believe they have been adjudicated by the courts, on ICE going after illegals. I’ll let the lawyers sort it out.
Becerra defended the law under the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which he said gives California the right to decline to participate in civil immigration enforcement. He said Trump’s threats to pull grants from local police agencies over SB 54 amounted to “coercion.”
“Here in California, we respect the law and the Constitution. We expect the federal government to do the same,” Becerra said at the press conference. “California is in the business of public safety. We’re not in the business of deportations.”
Here we see what an ignorant liar Becerra is. The 10th Amendment does NOT grant the states any power over immigration. That is strictly a federal duty. What Kalifornistan is doing is actively interfering with Federal agents in the lawful performance of their duties. Since we’ve already seen what happens when Kalifornistan protects criminals, (Citizens and lawful immigrants being robbed, raped and murdered), this lawsuit is the first step in reigning in these moonbats.
The next step will be arrests and prosecutions of some of these elected and appointed officials under the laws regarding harboring illegal aliens. Oakland Mayor Schaaf has a nice big bullseye she’s pinned to her back thanks to her warning. If Sessions is serious, then he needs to escalate and put her on trial. She claims she’s ready to go to jail, but I wonder if she really wants to do 5 or more years in a federal prison?
Without a doubt, Brown, Becerra and the others in Kalifornistan will continue ramping up their activities. While some might call it treason, it hasn’t reached the constitutional definition…yet. What we are seeing is the first stages of another law being broken, The Insurrection Act. If the Kalifornistan politicians continue down this path, they might find their front doors being broken in by the U.S. Military and Kalifornistan being put under Martial Law. We’re a long way form there, but we do seem to be heading in that direction with statements such as “Act of War” coming from Brown and others.
