Comrade Bernie, enemy of the workers

Good day all. Comrade Bernie Sanders, A communist who had the Democrat presidential nomination stolen from him by Felonia von Pantsuit, loves to proclaim his support for “The working class.”

Of course, his ideas of supporting working people differs significantly from mine. In his latest “Brilliant idea,” Comrade Bernie wants to put an end to states that have passed “Right to work” laws. This is designed to help unions by forcing people to join them, even if they don’t want to. Here are the details from The Washington Free Beacon:

Senator Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) filed legislation Wednesday that would significantly strengthen the power of organized labor. Sanders, along with senators Cory Booker (D., N.J.), Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.), and Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.), among others, introduced the Workplace Democracy Act, which would make it easier for workers to unionize and enter into contractual negotiations with employers.

You will notice that the wishes of the people who would be forced into these unions doesn’t enter into the equation.

The legislation comes at a time when the number of unionized workers in the American economy is at an all-time low. Fueled in part by the rise of globalization and technological advancement, labor membership has steadily declined from 20.1 percent in 1983 to 10.7 percent at the end of 2017, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

There a few other reasons as well. One is that unions don’t actually do anything for workers these days. Unions formed 100+ years ago because there were real abuses by company owners. Today, the laws on the books do what the Unions did 100 years ago. These days, people see unions as corrupt, only interested in enriching their leadership at the expense of their members, and putting Democrats in office to aid them in enriching themselves.

Sanders’s bill seeks to reverse the course by scrapping current procedures in place governing the establishment of a union. Presently, 30 percent of an organization’s employees must sign a petition requesting the formal creation of a union. The National Labor Relations Board then administers an election of all eligible employees to ensure that there is significant support for unionization. An employer can also choose to recognize a union provided there is sufficient evidence, usually in the form of union authorization cards, showing a majority of employers want to be represented.

In the normal course of events, if a company’s employees want to unionize, they hold an election with a secret ballot. The company owners have the opportunity to speak with the employees as do the union thugs organizers. Then a vote is take. Of late, this hasn’t worked out to well for the Unions. They’ve been losing these votes. Also, there are several cases where the union members have decided to decertify their unions and end their so called representation. The unions have been desperate to reverse this.

If the bill was to become law, the NLRB election would be phased out in favor of a system where if a majority of workers signed up to be represented by a union, the NLRB would certify and recognize its existence.

Other aspects of the legislation would require employers to commence negotiations with a new union within 10 days of receiving a request to form a “first contract.” The bill would establish a 90-day negotiation deadline before the parties could request “compulsory mediation.” If that proves unsuccessful after 30 days, the parties would “have a contract settlement through binding arbitration.”

In other words, the employees won’t have any secret ballot, and the companies will have no choice in the matter. If they refuse, then the “Government” basically acting as an enforcement arm of the Unions, will tell the company how to conduct it’s business. That’s worked out so well of late. There is a reason that Detroit looks like bombed out city in some parts. The Auto unions killed their memberships jobs with their demands. If this bill were to pass, (Which isn’t going to happen), you would see companies closing their doors and moving to Mexico and China again.

The bill would also expand the definition of “employer” and “employee” to include independent contractors.

Oh that’s going to go well with contract workers. They tend to get paid a lot more than regular employees because the jobs aren’t going to last. I’ve done contracting, and while I don’t care for it, I did make a lot of money doing it. Forcing an independent contractor to pay union dues is not going to go over well.

The most controversial provision of the legislation is also the newest. Tucked away in the 12-page bill is language that would repeal a portion of the National Labor Relations Act allowing states to enact “right-to-work” laws. Such laws prevent unions from mandating membership or payment of dues as a condition of employment.

Unions hate Right to work laws with a passion. These days, the only way they can grow is through force and coercion.

Right-to-work laws have long drawn rebuke from liberals, who claim that allowing individual employees the choice of whether to join a union or not only serves to weaken the stance from which workers negotiate with management.

Choice? Individuality? Freedom?? How DARE these peons think they have any rights!! What makes them think they’re smart enough to negotiate with their employers? Only the Union can do that!

In a statement announcing the legislation, Sanders declared it was no longer tolerable for “CEOs and managers” to “intimidate” workers from joining or forming unions. Sanders also asserted that the only way to reduce income inequality in America was by ensuring the proliferation of more “union jobs.”

“We must no longer tolerate CEOs and managers who intimidate, threaten, or fire pro-union workers, who threaten to move plants to China if their workers vote in favor of a union, and who refuse to negotiate a first contract with workers who have voted to join unions,” Sanders said. “If we are serious about reducing income and wealth inequality and rebuilding the middle class, we have got to substantially increase the number of union jobs in this country.”

Comrade Bernie and the other CommuNazis backing this load of drek owe their positions in Congress to the Unions. The problem is, the union rank and file hates them, and isn’t overly thrilled with their own leadership. As for “Rebuilding the middle class,” it’s the policies of the Democrat CommuNazi party that has caused such devastation to the middle class.

Sanders has introduced similar legislation in the past, although never with the provision preempting states from passing their own right-to-work laws.

States rights? Nope, can’t have that!! Only the central power vested in the ruling elites in Washington D.C. shall have the ability to decide how the states run themselves. What? The 10th Amendment? An obsolete amendment that is meaningless to the greater good of the proletariat.

It is unclear why Sanders and his Democratic colleagues in Congress believe now is the correct time to repeal right-to-work laws. In April, the national unemployment rate fell below four percent, hitting a 19-year low. Furthermore, economic data has shown that wage growth is climbing at a faster rate than at any time since 2009.

The answer is simple. They’re stupid. The economy is blasting into orbit for the first time since Reagan, but Unions are not benefiting. Why? Because the workers have seen what Unions do and don’t want to have anything to do with them.

Patrick Semmens, a spokesman for the National Right to Work Committee, expressed that the legislation only served to emphasize how the objectives of organized labor differ from those of the average worker.

“This bill is a vivid reminder that the ultimate goal of Big Labor and its allies in Congress is an America where every worker must pay tribute to a union official in order to make a living,” Semmens said. “The proposed legislation contains virtually every bad legislative idea union bosses have proposed in the past century.”

In the past, Unions had some benefits for the membership. Today? There is no benefit to being part of a union. The things that Unions used to stress, retirement pensions, healthcare and insurance, those are something companies provide on their own in order to find people to work for them. Instead, people are seeing unions as nothing more than corrupt agencies that loot their pensions for the leaderships own enrichment.

Semmens also said that while Sanders and other proponents claim the legislation is about protecting worker interests, in reality, it only serves to strengthen the power of union bosses over “independent workers.”

“Not only would it wipe out 28 state right-to-work laws that protect workers from being forced to fund a labor union they oppose, it also would replace the secret ballot vote for unionization elections with coercive card-check campaigns, where union organizers can harass and intimidate workers until they sign cards that are then counted as ‘votes’ for unionization,” Semmens added.

Considering the long history of Union thugs beating, and in some cases, murdering anyone who refused to join, what Comrade Bernie and the other CommuNazis are trying to do is nothing less then the repeal of the 13th Amendment. If you went to public school, where they no longer teach the Constitution, then you may not know what that amendment was for. It banned slavery once and for all in the United States.

The Democrats CommuNazis and their followers have been angry that they were forced to give up their slaves in 1865 and have been working diligently ever since to get them back. The one difference this time? It’s not just Americans of recent African decent they want to put back under the yoke, it’s everyone who isn’t part of the ruling elite.

Thankfully, this load of horse manure has no chance of passing. If it did, in this day and age, more then likely, when workers were threatened with unemployment and poverty if they didn’t join “The Union” would probably take their guns out and start defending themselves and their families. The day of the union is basically over, and like the dinosaurs, are going extinct. Comrade Bernie might be trying his version of “Jurassic Park” but it’s not going to work in the long run.
