Progressives return to FDR’s court idea

Good day all. Now that Associate Justice Kavanaugh, (Nope, still not tired of saying that), has taken his place on the Supreme Court, the CommuNazis are trying to come up with a way to regain control of the courts so they can continue destroying the republic.

Their latest idea? Try something that Progressive darling Franklin Delano Roosevelt attempted and “Pack the court.” By this, I mean add more justices to the bench until you have enough to reliably vote the way you want and to Hell with the Constitution. This was first put forward in the 1930’s by Roosevelt when the courts kept ruling his “New Deal” plans were unconstitutional. (Which they were)

He came up with the idea of adding more justices to the Supreme Court who would rule the way he wanted. The whole idea went down in flames when pretty much everyone came out against it.

Now we have the Modern Day Democrats, aka CommuNazis, who are seeing all their “Good Works” being thrown out by the courts. The Obama Judges, who are pretty blatant in seizing authority they don’t actually have, are being overruled by the Supreme Court. With Justice Kavanaugh on the bench, and the likelihood that President Trump will be replacing noted Constitution hating justice, Ruth Bader-Ginsberg, the CommuNazis are in a panic. They are bringing back the idea of packing the courts with judges and justices who will consistently rule in favor of the CommuNazi agenda. Here are some of the details from Washington Compost writer, Aaron Blake:

Plenty of ink has been spilled about whether Brett M. Kavanaugh’s confirmation will politicize the Supreme Court in new ways. But the biggest question may not be what the court does now, but instead what Congress’s next step is. And given the trajectory, there’s a high likelihood this process will further devolve into partisan politics and gamesmanship. The stakes are too high, the emotion is too raw, and the sense of grievance is too real on both sides.

Not really. The problem is the CommuNazi Elitists who think it is their right to rule. The conservatives have, by and large, been the adults in the room. They don’t riot in the streets and attack people, they obey the laws and work within the system to fix the problems your side has caused.

It’s not unreasonable to think the destination here is packing the court.

And here we go!

Court-packing has come up occasionally throughout the years as a workaround for one side or the other to wage something of a hostile takeover of the court. Rather than waiting for the right justices to retire or die when the right president is in office, the theory goes, a party can just expand the court enough to install the requisite justices and tip the scales to its side. Enacting term limits for justices would require a constitutional amendment and take years to pan out; packing the court is quicker and requires only a regular old act of Congress.

This idea has generally been put out there by Progressives who see the courts as their way of overturning the Constitution and implementing their ideas. They need this for one simple reason. The Progressives, (and to be honest, the Conservatives as well to a lesser degree), want to push forward laws that are both unpopular and unconstitutional. If they can get one of their pet judges to rule in their favor, then they win and the people lose more of their individual liberties.

For obvious reasons, the idea has gained some new currency with liberals, for whom it could help in taking a 5-4 conservative court and flipping it to a 6-5 liberal one. Michael Avenatti has said it should be a litmus-test issue for any 2020 Democratic presidential candidate.

First, I wouldn’t be quoting the Creepy Porn Lawyer about anything. He has significant legal issues of his own, not to mention he’s a creepy porn lawyer. Next, Progressives love the idea of packing the supreme court and have since FDR. They see it as their way of ignoring the constitutional checks and balances. They also forget that it can also be used against them. (Progressives are not noted for their long term thinking)

The idea hasn’t yet caught on with Democratic leaders. But there are reasons to believe they might one day entertain it.

Only if they are suicidal, and I mean that literally, not politically. Blake goes on to discuss how the CommuNazis would go about packing the courts. Basically, they need to win both the house and senate and the oval office. (The number of seats on the court is not in the Constitution and can be changed by Congress)

The bigger hurdle would seem to be the consequences. Included under this umbrella are the arguments that this could lead to some kind of unraveling of U.S. government (by turning the judiciary into effectively another political branch) or even just backfire politically (by setting a precedent that the other side later exploits). On that count, it’s possible that the politics of Supreme Court vacancies have devolved so significantly that Democrats — or even Republicans — might decide it’s worth a shot.

You will notice that Blake is ignoring a very important group of people, namely everyone in flyover country. Of course, in the minds of Progressives, and to some extent the GOP(e) wing of the beltway Uniparty, those people don’t matter at all. Blake goes on to whine about Merrick Garland and how he never got a hearing.

Of course, one of the problems with Garland is he’s a supporter of big government and bends over backwards to give regulatory agencies even more power then they were given by Congress. We also have seen just what a pair of morons Kagan and Sotomayor turned out to be. They were put in place by the Great Mistake for the sole purpose of protecting Der Fubar’s “Legacy.”

We’ve seen lower level Obama judges doing just that when it comes to President Trump ending Obama polices that were done by Executive Order and not passed as laws by Congress. These Obama judges are routinely overturned by the Supreme Court, although Kagan Sotomayor and the Notorious Ruth Bader-Ginsberg generally uphold the Obama judges rulings.

The Kavanaugh hearings laid bare what this process has really come to be about, and it decidedly is not sober, nonpartisan review of the law.

The new justice got to the court by savaging an entire political party for allegedly waging an elaborate conspiracy against him.

Hello? Did you not happen to notice that your party was the one that announced they were going to stop the confirmation before President Trump had even announced his choice? The CommuNazis did everything they could to destroy Kavanaugh with the willing assistance of people like you, the Office of Progressive CommuNazi of correct thinking and Propaganda. Congratulations! You may have achieved your goals in flipping a few midterm races. Of course, they aren’t flipping the way you wanted, but hey, nobody’s perfect.

Blake then goes on to note that the current crop of Liberals on the court are getting rather long in the tooth. He also notes that the court now has a majority of justices who actually believe that the Constitution means what it says and says what it means. That is something any good Progressive finds utterly abhorrent.

That’s a near-perfect storm of motivation, desperation and sense of righteousness. What’s missing thus far is the means to actually try to pack the court.

That means existed in 2009 when the CommuNazis had control of the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives. Being the arrogant jerks they were, they shoved Obamacare down our throats and basically trashed the economy. (Not in great shape when Obama took office)

Now here’s a few things that Blake and the other bubble dwellers need to consider. Packing the court the way he wants, was looked at by Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It was shot down in flames, but did have the side effect of scaring the justices then on the bench to obeying FDR.

The decisions they rendered were so bad and in many cases were 180 degrees in opposition to what was actually written in the Constitution as to have the effect of rendering parts of the Constitution moot. (I won’t bother going into how the New Deal actually made the Great Depression far worse then it should have been)

One of the things that Blake and his fellow CommuNazi Progressive friend want to do is end the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. They fail to see that the 2nd Amendment was written to stop exactly what they want to do, create a tyrannical central government ruled by an Elite few.

Well, that’s the problem with people like Aaron Blake. They live in an echo chamber and literally have no idea what the other side is thinking and taking about. They can’t fathom how Felonia von Pantsuit lost, they can’t understand how the Tea Party came into being and they are stunned that Donald Trump became the President. In their minds, it isn’t their ideas that were rejected, it was the process, and since the process doesn’t favor them, it’s broken and they must fix it.

Sorry bud, the process is working as designed. If you try to rig it again to favor you and your party, those people you despise in Flyover Country might decide that the time has come to do some serious house cleaning.
