While we still do not have an actual President-Elect as of this post, that hasn’t stopped the totalitarian dreams of Dementia Joe and his Communist handlers from their dreams of ending the 2nd Amendment. Their latest dumb idea involves taxing everyone who owns an AR-15 and STANAG class magazines.
Of course, this also ties in with their plans to begin a gun confiscation program as well. However, this time they want to rob people who are exercising their rights under the Constitution of the United States. (Not surprising really, considering they hold that revered document in utter contempt) Here are the details from the Washington Free Beacon:
American gun owners could face tens of billions of dollars in new taxes to keep the guns they already own under Democrat Joe Biden’s gun ban and tax plan. At least 20 million rifles and 150 million ammunition magazines would be caught up in the sales ban and registration scheme Biden touted on the campaign trail, according to a National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) report. The new taxes would cost Americans more than $34 billion, according to a Washington Free Beacon analysis.
Well, there is a small problem with this Baldricklike cunning plan. First it would have to get through the Senate, (and it’s doubtful it would make it through the house in the first place). Then there would be the court challenges, and finally, there is the fact that it would be completely ignored.
NSSF told the Washington Free Beacon the sheer number of affected guns and magazines could pose a significant problem for Biden’s gun-control plans.
“I think if [Biden and his team] were smart, they would look at those numbers and get an idea of where America stands on gun ownership and gun rights,” NSSF spokesman Mark Oliva said.
The problem with this is that Dementia Joe has never been very smart about anything. This is the same moron who once said that as far as he was concerned, all anyone needed was a double barrel shotgun, and that if you are threatened, you should fire off a couple of blasts in the air, (Rendering you disarmed), or shoot through the door, (Rendering you under arrest)
Biden wants to ban new sales of AR-15 rifles and similar firearms as well as any ammunition magazine holding more than 10 rounds—sizes that come standard on most modern rifles and handguns. He would pay some owners to surrender the affected guns they legally own and force everyone else to register the guns under the National Firearms Act. The proposal would require owners to pay a $200 tax stamp for each item.
So the idea is to treat them like machine guns, suppressor and SBR’s, (Short Barrel Rifles) then? I won’t bother with the discussion of the National Firearms Act and it’s constitutionality, I’ll just say “Fat Chance you hair sniffing pedophile) One major issue is that STANAG magazines can be made with a 3D printer. The only metal would be the follower spring and that can be purchased very easily.
Then there is the problem of the sheer number of rifles that this predatory pedophile wants to ban. There are literally 10’s of millions of them. As for the magazines, figure the average rifle owner will have 10 magazines per rifle. This doesn’t include all the pistol magazines that mush for brains would want to seize.
The report, which was released Monday, also found that 11.4 million firearms were made or imported into the United States in 2018. A further 9.3 million were made or imported in 2019. That brings the total number of firearms on the American market between 1991 and 2019 up to nearly 214 million.
And that is seriously underestimating the actual number, literally by orders of magnitude.
Oliva said those numbers, combined with the fact that Americans increasingly favor AR-15s and other rifles targeted by Biden and gun-control advocates, are evidence the country is not interested in strict new gun laws.
“America’s attitude on gun control is shifting more toward the idea that we need to protect our rights and away from the idea we need government control of our destiny,” he said.
And with all the “Defund the Police” demands, and now the idea of closing all prisons being brought up by the Democratic CommuNazis, the last thing people are thinking about is letting Biden and his Communist handlers take away the one means of protection they can count on. There is no way they will allow this senile pedophile and his band of merry Marxists to take their guns and magazines. Never mind it failing in the senate, it probably won’t even pass the House.
Dementia Joe still isn’t the President-Elect and if President Trump, the Greatest president of the 21st Century can prove that the Democrats stole the election, he never will be. God help us if the corrupt pedophile does move into the White House. We will be at war within a year, either a foreign one, or a Civil War here. Trying to take people’s guns is a good way to start the latter.
