Good day all. The headline is a bit misleading here. What the Washington Compost has announced, after 100 days of the Fake President’s maladministration, that they won’t be maintaining a database of Dementia Joe’s greatest lies.
During the administration of the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, the Compost maintained a database of “Facts” that they decided weren’t true with regards to President Trump’s statements. Since I generally pay less then no attention to the Washington Compost, I really don’t know what they said wasn’t true. However, they maintained that database throughout the entirety of the Trump presidency. Why aren’t they doing the same thing with a known bald faced liar? Here are the details from Fox News:
Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler drew fierce criticism Monday after saying he did not plan to maintain a “database” for President Biden’s falsehoods beyond his first 100 days in office.
“I have learned my lesson,” Kessler tweeted. “‘Learned my lesson’ means who knows what the next four years will bring.”
Actually it means that he was told to shut it down. Dementia Joe’s relationship with the truth has always been quite distant.
The Post famously maintained a database of former President Donald Trump’s falsehoods during his entire term in office. Kessler called it a “wild ride.”
As I recall, the “Fact checkers” were uniformly hard left wing, they hated President Trump and in many cases were caught either taking whatever President Trump said out of context, or flat out making things up.
“We will keep doing fact checks, just not a database,” he added.
I suspect he was either told to shut it down in order to not have a record of how many times the Fake President told the same lie, or they were concerned that they would need to buy petabytes of additional storage. Personally, I think it’s a little of both.
In a writeup in the soon-to-be-mothballed database, the Post wrote the “Joe Biden era has offered a return to a more typical pattern when it comes to a commander in chief and his relationship with the facts — one that features frequent spin and obfuscation or exaggeration, with the occasional canard.”
Kessler said the Post’s section was the most “comprehensive” fact-checking outlet of Biden’s presidency to date and encouraged readers to send him any Biden falsehoods his team may have missed from the first 100 days.
Which will promptly be sent to the Bit Bucket. Meanwhile, many people saw this and took umbrage.
Critics jumped on Kessler’s admission, with some calling it a clear sign of liberal bias to acknowledge it would treat a Democratic president differently.
Of course they’re handling Dementia Joe differently. They hated President Trump because he wasn’t afraid of them and wouldn’t let them get away with their usual garbage. President Trump’s first press conference set the tone for the rest of his administration.
The Post counted 67 falsehoods from Biden in his first 100 days, chief among them his repeated, “Four-Pinocchio” claim that the new Georgia voting law limited early voting hours. Biden also compared the law to racist “Jim Crow” segregation.
Many that the that four Pinocchio award was an accident, and was never meant to see the light of day. That may have been the point when the Powers that Be who manage the Washington Compost, *cough Bezos cough* decided that fact checking the senile pedophile would only aid the deplorables in their goal of Making America Great Again.
I have little doubt that someone else will pick up the mantle, and order a huge storage array, and start a dedicated database to Dementia Joe’s lies, fabrications and falsehoods. I expect it will be a full time position, considering that the Fake President is incapable of every telling the truth about anything. As for the Washington Compost? Eventually, Bezos will tire of setting fire to his money and either sell it for pennies on the dollar or just shut it down.
