Good day all. This post is probably going to wander deeply into the Tin Foil Hat Zone. Almost from the beginning of the Great Panicdemic of 2020, people have been wondering if the Wuhan Flu was actually something that either escaped or was released from a lab.
More then a few people like to say that this was a man made virus and that it was intentionally released by the Chinese Communist Party in Wuhan, China. Many more think it did come from a lab in Wuhan, but that it got out unintentionally due to sloppy containment procedures. (I lean slightly in that direction, but I still want hard evidence) The majority think it was a typical naturally occurring virus. Anthony “Fascist” Fauci has always been firmly in the “It’s a naturally occurring virus” camp, until now. Here are the details from Fox News:
Dr. Anthony Fauci says he is “not convinced” COVID-19 developed naturally, and called for an open investigation into the virus’ origins.
“There’s a lot of cloudiness around the origins of COVID-19 still, so I wanted to ask, are you still confident that it developed naturally?” PolitiFact’s Katie Sanders asked the nation’s top infectious disease expert in an event, United Facts of America: A Festival of Fact-Checking event.
Part of the problem with determining the origins of the virus has been the Chinese Communist Party. They have completely corrupted the World Health Organization, and the Progressive Totalitarian Bureaucrats from the CDC quickly jumped on the “Naturally occurring you paranoid conspiracy, Trump Supporting nut!” bandwagon.
“No actually,” Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) said, around 12 minutes into footage of the event, which was held earlier this month but overlooked by most media outlets. “I am not convinced about that, I think we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we continue to find out to the best of our ability what happened.”
“Certainly, the people who investigated it say it likely was the emergence from an animal reservoir that then infected individuals, but it could have been something else, and we need to find that out. So, you know, that’s the reason why I said I’m perfectly in favor of any investigation that looks into the origin of the virus,” he continued.
Fascist Fauci has been coming under increasing fire for his, to be blunt, lack of competence and bureaucratic stonewalling. Senator Rand Paul, who is also a medical professional, and who was practicing until he went into the Senate, (Unlike Fauci, who hasn’t seen an actual patient in decades), has been ripping him multiple new ones when Fauci appeared in front of his committee.
“Will you in front of this group categorically say that the COVID-19 virus could not have occurred by serial passage in a laboratory?” Sen. Rand Paul had asked Fauci during a Senate hearing last Tuesday.
Fauci pulled out the camouflage and started covering his ass.
Fauci did not explicitly rule out such a possibility: “I do not have any accounting of what the Chinese may have done, and I’m fully in favor of any further investigation of what went on in China,” he said. “However, I will repeat again, the NIH and NIAID categorically has not funded gain of function research to be conducted in the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
Oh yes, I had forgotten that little gem. The latest conspiracy theory making the rounds was that Fauci’s department actually funded the lab that people think the virus came from. Since Fauci also said that President Trump would face a pandemic during his term, people leapt to the conclusion that the virus was man made, that it was intentionally released and it was done at the behest of Fascist Fauci himself so he could institute a police state controlled by the CDC. (Talk about tinfoil hat territory!)
Paul had claimed that funding through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) had been funneled to controversial Wuhan Institute of Virology — the Chinese lab that is believed to have played a role in the initial outbreak of COVID-19. Paul specifically zeroed in on gain of function research — which works on making pathogens deadlier or more easily transmissible. He alleged that a U.S. virologist had been working with the Chinese institute on such research and said it was funded by the NIH.
Sometimes the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and this is something his father might have put forward. The best way to find out is the time honored tradition of “Follow the money” and see where it leads. The problem with this is that the Panicdemic became political early on with the Democratic CommuNazis seeing this as a way to “Get Trump!” They will not do any sort of an actual investigation, and may actually obstruct one.
When President Trump noted that French research using a 70 year old Malaria treatment seemed to help people and it should be studied. The Democratic CommuNazis, with the able assistance of the Progressive Propaganda Corps, not only poo poo’d the potential, a few of the CommuNazi governs flat out banned the use of the drug for that purpose, in some cases on pain of prosecution. It makes one wonder how many people died because of those orders?
Fauci said at the fact-checking event that Paul had been “conflating… in a way that’s almost irresponsible” collaborative research into Sars-Cov-1, which emerged in China in the early 2000s, with Chinese scientists.
Trump administration officials and Republicans on the Hill have long argued there is a high chance COVID-19 was the result of a lab leak. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the lab leak theory “extremely unlikely” last week, but even Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO chief, has said the research team’s assessment on whether the virus entered the human population following a laboratory incident was not “extensive enough” and requires further investigation.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is an interesting individual. He is wholly owned by the PRC and was actively aiding them in covering up the Coronavirus when it first showed up. As for the World Health Organization? They have been caught either being dead wrong, or flat out lying so many times during this fiasco that no one takes them seriously any longer. It’s going to take a major change in management, (Like firing anyone who is IN management), for them to regain any credibility.
The White House has not yet said whether it’s seen evidence to disprove the lab leak theory, but has joined calls for an independent investigation.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said this week the Biden administration has conveyed both publicly and privately that the Chinese government was “not transparent from the beginning.”
Those discussions are more along the lines of “Dude! Listen, we know you’ve been paying us huge amounts of money, (Hunter says hello by the way and Eric Salwell misses playing footsy with Bang Bang), but you have to give us something to work with.
Fauci’s more recent remarks show an evolution in the doctor’s beliefs on coronavirus’ origins over the past year. In May 2020, Fauci largely dismissed the lab leak theory.
“If you look at the evolution of the virus in bats and what’s out there now, [the scientific evidence] is very, very strongly leaning toward this could not have been artificially or deliberately manipulated,” he told National Geographic at the time.
“Everything about the stepwise evolution over time strongly indicates that [this virus] evolved in nature and then jumped species,” he said. He told the magazine at the time that based on the scientific evidence, he does not entertain the lab leak theory.
But the repeated blows to the head new facts and information seemed to have changed his mind? I don’t think so. He’s trying to get out in front of the big rig currently bearing down and trying to show that he is “Leading the way” to finding out what the truth is. The simple fact of the matter is, that if the Great Election Theft of 2020 had failed, Fauci would have been told to go spend more time with his grandchildren. Towards the end of the Trump Administration, key people had basically had enough if Fauci’s antics. Fauci is a consummate professional. Professional bureaucrat. His “Danger Tony Fauci Danger!” early warning system has gone off and he’s looking to protect himself at the very least. Whether it works or not is anyone’s guess.
