Good day all. Minneapolis, Minnesota is a nice, picturesque, progressive city, populated by nice, progressive people and governed by nice, progressive politicians. In other words, it’s a complete disaster that makes your typical Turd World city look well managed.
Minneapolis is ground zero for the Defund the Police moonbats, and the city government has pretty much lost control of a fair chunk of the city. Police morale is only visible using a powerful sonar system, and the have lost hundreds of officers who have either retired or just flat out quit. It’s gotten so bad, that some citizens sued the city and the court has ordered them to hire more police.
This hasn’t slowed down the moonbats on the City council. They’re still, by and large, all in on shutting down the city police department. Now, some of those chickens are coming home to roost. The vice president of the city council was “Take hostage” by protesters demanding everything under the sun, including dropping charges against all the scum who were arrested for rioting, looting, and all the other things that the modern Progressive protesters engage in. The vice president of the Minneapolis City Council says she was “held hostage” while attending a Pride celebration over the weekend, as video shows a large group of protesters blocked her vehicle until she agreed to sign a list of their demands that included dropping criminal charges against rioters.
The incident happened Sunday, (June 27th), afternoon while Jenkins was attending the Taking Back Pride event in Loring Park, as video shows her sitting in the front passenger seat of a white vehicle being blocked by a group of extreme Black Lives Matter demonstrators, many with their cellphones out recording.
“It might be three days before I get out of here,” Jenkins is heard telling someone over the phone while sitting in the vehicle, according to a 23-minute-long video shared to Facebook by activist Donald Hooker Jr.
Gee, isn’t that just to bad? Here we have a nice, progressive moonbat who has been happily supporting the BCLOM and Antifa movements when they go on their evening rampages. Instead of listening to her saying that she supported them in their goals, they held the moron and forced the twit to give in to their demands before she was permitted to leave. I think this video says it all for the three or four people who visit this site:
Hooker shows the camera a list of “The People’s Demands” that Jenkins must agree to before she’s free to leave. The handwritten note calls for the formation of a “community police accountability commission,” to “reopen all the cases of murderers,” to “drop the charges for all 646 protesters and other protesters for 2020,” and to “make all information on the murder of Winston Smith available.” It also demands the resignation of Mayor Jacob Frey and to “leave George Floyd Square alone. PERIOD.”
What this is called in certain circles is felony kidnapping, terrorism and insurrection. (A real one, not what the progressives in Washington call the protest of January 6th) This is where police would move in and would consider the use of lethal force against the terrorists. If the city government could not or would not take control of the situation, then the military option could be utilized. In that case, it’s basically bringing in front end loaders and a dump truck to haul away the bodies. However, the ever so courageous city councilor promptly surrendered to the terrorists demands.
The protesters shouted each demand and asked if they had Jenkins’ support. She agreed, “Yes,” to the first few before shaking her head when protesters called for Frey’s resignation. The crowd shouted again until Jenkins finally agreed and she asked, “Do you understand English? I already said it.”
The problem with these people is that they are not satisfied. They want to basically destroy everything and rebuild it in what passes for their vision. Their vision isn’t original. We saw it many times in the 20th Century. 1917 in Russia, 1933 in Germany, 1946 in North Korea and North Vietnam, China in 1949 and in Cambodia in the 1975. That is what they want to bring to America.
Responding to the final demand to stay out of George Floyd Square, Jenkins retorted, “So you’re asking me not to do my job.” As the group shouted over her, she continued, “I was elected to represent that neighborhood, so what you’re asking me to do is to not do my job.”
Basically, yes, that is exactly what they want.
“We are not asking no more, White lady. We are demanding,” a female voice in the crowd shouted to the driver, as seen in a shorter snippet of the incident shared by independent journalist Andy Ngo. “Do your job and drive.”
Being the courageous Progressive Liberal that she is, she caved right in.
Jenkins eventually signed the list of demands, and protesters shouted for her to print her name and date it.
Comrade Jenkins went on a long winded diatribe saying that boils down to “I feel your pain.” She was also going full white liberal saying who she supports all their causes and that she is actually one of them. Then she whined about being taken hostage.
“On Sunday afternoon, while attending a Pride event in Loring Park, something I’ve done on the last weekend in June for the past 20 plus years, I was verbally attacked, berated and held ‘hostage’ against my will by a large group of angry protesters.”
While she continues to be willing to sit down with activists, advocates and protesters to understand their policy change demands and recommendations, Jenkins described how she “refused however to be bullied and held hostage to somehow accomplish that.”
Oh but you were bullied into surrendering to them dimbulb. Meanwhile, the Moron that is running the city, Mayor Jacob Frey decided to mealymouth his response to this criminal action, just as he has when confronted with the riots for the last year.
Frey also condemned the incident involving Jenkins Tuesday afternoon.
“Holding elected officials accountable is good. Holding people for hours against their will until they’re compelled under duress to take positions is not,” the mayor tweeted. “This isn’t a matter of politics or policy. We should all call this behavior out for what it is: fundamentally wrong.”
There is another term for it. That term would be Felony. By rights, the police should have arrested everyone involved in this, and the Mayor should have called the Governor for help. He won’t of course, and even if he did, the pinhead governor won’t do anything either. They flat out don’t have the guts to do what is needed.
Minneapolis is a dead city, just like San Francisco and New York City. The productive people are saying enough is enough and they are leaving in droves, taking their money and businesses with them. They’re problem is, they’re also going to keep doing what they did in the states they move to, voting in radical Progressives who will just keep doing the same thing. Liberalism and Progressivism is a mental disorder. The cure…well, I’ll let you determine what that is.
