Good day all. Once again, President Bumbles Dementia slipped off his leash, opened his mouth and inserted both feet. In this case, it was in regards to the Congressional select committee on the January 6th protests. The committee, which is about as concerned about the truth as Joe Isuzu, has started issuing subpoenas to anyone who supported President Trump. Most of these people are telling the committee to commit an impossible sexual act upon themselves.
The Committee is now demanding that the Department of (In)Justice bring charges against these people, This led to the question that slipped past the White House handlers to Biden, who promptly demonstrated once again that he is unfit for office. Here are the details from Fox News:
The Department of Justice (DOJ) and White House press secretary Jen Psaki are doing damage control after President Biden told reporters Friday evening that anyone who defies a congressional subpoena should be prosecuted.
The remarks by the president come as the Jan. 6 select commission is ramping up issuing subpoenas for former President Trump administration officials and others who may have information on Trump’s efforts to investigate claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election.
The so called “Commission” is just another “Get Trump!” attempt. The only Republicans on the committee, Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger are both in their last terms in office. (The didn’t plan on it, but their hatred for all things Trump has enraged their constituents. Basically, stick the fork on, they’re done) They are desperate to stop the Greatest President of the 21st Century from running again in 2024, and want to try and set perjury traps for his supporters.
The basic plan the Deep Staters and Uniparty scum have in mind is to make it look like President Trump ordered the protesters to go into the capitol. Of course, President Trump did no such thing, saying he wanted a peaceful protest. There are also reports, that will be ignored by the commission, that this was a false flag operation. There are videos of police pulling back the fences and unlocking doors, then letting the protesters in.
The people the commission wants to entrap have told them they won’t respond to what is nothing more than a politically driven assault on the people who support President Trump. This is when Dementia Joe shot his mouth off.
Biden told reporters in a South Lawn gaggle outside of Air Force One, “I hope the committee goes after them and holds accountable.” He was referring to individuals who refuse to comply with a congressional subpoena.
One reporter followed up, “Should they be prosecuted?”
“I do, yes,” responded Biden.
The President of the United States can not be seen as issuing orders to the DoJ to prosecute anyone. He has to remain absolutely neutral. President Trump quickly learned this and tended to “fudge” his answers when similar questions were put to him. As Candidate Trump, he wanted Felonia von Pantsuit prosecuted. As President Trump, he made no attempt to do so, (Much to many people’s disappointment, mine included), since it could be seen as political interference in the justice system for political reasons. Now the White House and the DoJ are trying to climb out of the hole President Dementia threw them in.
DOJ spokesman Anthony Coley responded with a terse statement Friday evening in response to Biden.
“The Department of Justice will make its own independent decisions in all prosecutions based solely on the facts and the law. Period. Full stop,” said Coley.
In other words, Attorney General Merrick “Heinrich Himmler” Garland has received and understood his orders.
In addition, Psaki attempted to clarify Biden’s statement on Twitter, stating that the president supports the “independent role” of DOJ’s prosecutorial decisions.
As @potus has said many times, January 6th was one of the darkest days in our democracy. He supports the work of the committee and the independent role of the Department of Justice to make any decisions about prosecutions.
I gather that Reach Around Psaki has forgotten the inauguration of President Trump, when the Antifa thugs started rampaging through the city, looting and burning, or the progressive liberal protesters who stormed into the Kavanaugh hearings and actually did threaten several members of Congress. Oh wait. They work for the Democrats so no problem.
As for the commission, they will not ask some very important questions. The big one is why, when President Trump offered to send additional resources to the Capitol prior to January 6th, Nancy Pelosi flat out refused it. This “Select Committee” is a joke and everyone knows it.
It’s also blowing up in the faces of Cheney, who is going to lose her primary, and Kinzinger, who has just been redistricted out of his seat. They backed the Deep State and the Fake President, and now they are learning just how badly they screwed up. Dementia Joe is unfit for office and his tyrannical tendencies, which were always present when he was in the Senate, are now in full flower.
