Good day all. Taiwan is a large island off the coast of Mainland China. When the Chinese Communists took over, the losing side, led by Chiang Kai-shek escaped to Taiwan and set up the “Republic of China.” Taiwan had some serious internal issues over the decades, but has straightened them out and is now a democracy.
One problem they’ve had since Chiang Kai-shek and his forces landed, was the Communist Chinese government wanting to take them over. The people of Taiwan have pretty much no interest in being enslaved by the CCP, so they have dug in. The United States has also made it known to China that invading the island would be “A bad thing” and we would respond. Every president has made this known to China.
Now President Bumbles Dementia, fresh off his bug out from Afghanistan and his sell out of all the people there has announced that he too would defend Taiwan if Mainland China attacked. Here are the details from Fox News:
President Joe Biden vowed to protect Taiwan from any Chinese incursion during a CNN town hall on Thursday night.
“Are you saying the US would come to Taiwan’s defense if China were to attack?” CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked Biden to which the president responded, “Yes, we have a commitment to do that.”
Of course, any promise the Fake President makes comes with an expiration date, usually about 15 minutes after he makes the “promise.” This all came about when someone asked the Senile Idiot about the threat China’s becoming and their new weapons tests.
Biden had been asked by an audience member about China’s recent testing of hypersonic missile and questioned him about whether or not the United States would stand up to China.
“Don’t worry about whether they’re going to be more powerful,” Biden said after reaffirming that the rest of the world “knows” that the United States has the most powerful military in the world.
We used to have the most powerful military, but those days have past, thanks to people like you. Oh we can regain that lead, but it will take flat out cashiering pretty much everyone with stars on their shoulders and a massive rebuilding and retraining program that keeps all the progressive trash out of the services.
Biden also dismissed the idea that he wants to start another cold war with China.
“I don’t want a cold war with China,” Biden said. “I just want China to understand that we are not going to step back and we are not going to change any of our views.”
Of course China Joe doesn’t want a cold war. What he wants to do is surrender unconditionally, just like he did in Afghanistan.
The Taiwan Relations Act to which the United States is currently party does not guarantee the U.S. will engage militarily if China attacks Taiwan, which it has claimed for decades is sovereign Chinese territory, but states that the United States “will make available to Taiwan such defense articles and defense services in such quantity as may be necessary to enable Taiwan to maintain self-sufficient defense capabilities.”
One of the ways we’ve been keeping the ChiComs out of Taiwan is by making it uncertain what we would actually do, along with selling them everything they need to defend themselves. We have never said, explicitly, that we would defend Taiwan, and right on schedule, the “Clarification” of the Idiot’s remarks came out of the White House. Here are those details from Newsmax:
The White House on Friday clarified remarks made by President Joe Biden on Taiwan after he said the U.S. would come to the country’s defense if China attacked.
”Our policy has not changed,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters. ”He was not intending to convey a change in policy, nor has he made a decision to change our policy.”
Like I said, Bumbles Dementia’s promises come with a half life measured in nanoseconds. Frankly, I believe there is a very good chance that Taiwan will be attacked in the next few years. Whether or not the Taiwanese can repel them is another matter. There are now rumors that Taiwan has, or can construct nuclear weapons. (Construct as in “Assemble the parts”)
The Progressives, in their desire to assert absolute rule of Americans, and stop the Greatest President of the 21st Century Donald Trump, from Making America Great Again, chose two of the worst people possible to be President and Vice President. Dementia Joe is obviously mentally unfit for the office and will have to be removed at some point. That will leave us with the Retired Prostitute, Kamala “Heels Up” Harris.
Thanks to those two morons, along with the Progressive string pullers, not only is Taiwan probably going to be attacked, but Iran will develop and use nuclear weapons, first on Israel and then on the United States. (Provided Israel just doesn’t decide to launch a preemptive strike on Iran to stop them) I don’t think we’ve been this close to a potential nuclear exchange since the Cuban Missile Crises. I really prefer to read Tom Kratman novels, not live them.
