Good day all. I recently posted a story about Neil Young demanding that Spotify kick Joe Rogan off their platform for not toeing the Woke progressive line on the Fauci Chinese made biological warfare agent. (That would be the coronavirus) The results of his demands didn’t quite go the way he expected. Spotify canceled Young and pulled his music off their platform faster then you could say “Bye Now!”
Now this epic failure is now doubling down on stupid and trying to ruin other musicians by getting them to pull their music from the platform. Here are the details from Breitbart:
Left-wing rocker Neil Young is now pushing for other artists to pull their music from Spotify, calling the audio streaming service a “damaging force” that is causing “24 year old’s” to end up on “the wrong side of the truth.”
To refresh your memory, Joe Rogan recently closed a deal with Spotify to the tune of $100 million dollars. I have no idea what Neil Young got, however I suspect it’s significantly less. Spotify looked at the bottom line and responded:
Young’s call comes after Spotify said it would pull the singer’s music from its platform following his demand that the company either remove his music or blacklist Joe Rogan and his popular podcast.
Which Spotify did. Of course Neil Young, who is a typical Progressive Liberal Moonbat, wasn’t satisfied with being removed from the platform. Now the Anti-1st Amendment Fascist who hates freedom of speech is demanding that others leave the platform if he doesn’t get what he, Neil Young, wants.
On Wednesday, Young continued his attacks against Spotify on his website, claiming that the company “has recently become a very damaging force,” and urged others to join him in removing their music from the platform. “I sincerely hope that other artists and record companies will move off the Spotify platform and stop supporting Spotify’s deadly misinformation about Covid.”
“Most of the listeners hearing the unfactual, misleading and false COVID information on SPOTIFY are 24 years old, impressionable and easy to swing to the wrong side of the truth,” the singer wrote.
And who decides what the “Truth” is? You? I don’t think so. Neil Young is a flaming leftist who, bluntly, hates everything about the United States. The very fact that he considers 24 year old’s to be to stupid to to make their own decisions tells me that he should be put under a conservator-ship. I understand the ones that used to handle Brittany Spears are available now.
Spotify represents 60 percent of the streaming of his music to listeners around the world, added Young, who went on to claim that he was “losing 60% of my world wide streaming income in the name of Truth.”
I would love to see what the actual numbers of downloads and streaming connections this doofus actually had, especially against what Rogan has and what other artists who are more relevant, (And entertaining), have. As to his loss of income, I understand that Young no longer owns his own portfolio. I wonder if his buyers are happy with the loss?
Young also thanked Warner Brothers for standing with him and “taking the hit.”
Did he ask them beforehand or did he just decide on his own to cut off their money?
Before the removal, Young had 2.4 million followers and over six million monthly listeners on Spotify, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.
Wow, that many? I thought it would be in the high single digits. Of course, Rogan has significantly more followers. I believe I read somewhere that he has at least 11 million followers and his listener numbers are significantly higher than that. That should tell you who Spotify’s accountants consider to be more valuable. As for Neil Young? Most people these days would respond, if asked, “Neil Who?”
