Pentagon’s idea of “Extremists” doesn’t include left wing extremists

Good day all. When Ronald Reagan left office in 1989, one of the things he bequeathed to the nation was a completely rebuilt and reequipped military. His successor, George H.W. used this military to great effect in Desert Storm. The speed with which the United States military crushed the Iraqi Army helped lead to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

After Bush was defeated by Slick Willy Clinton, his pack of merry morons declared that the size of the force was to big and we needed to reduce it and gain the “Peace Dividend.” It’s generally accepted that what Clinton and the Democrats did went to far and gutted the military. When George W. Bush was elected, one of his plans was to restore the military to usability. That plan went up in smoke, along with the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Islamic Terrorist hijacked airliner about to hit the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001

With the exception of the invasion of Iraq, (Which was yet another Globalist boondoggle and, as it turned out, unnecessary), the military went from a combined arms force ready to take on the Russians, Chinese, North Koreans, etc. to a counterinsurgency force. One of the things President Trump was trying to do was rebuild the military to an all aspect force. With the installation of Bumbles Dementia, instead of rebuilding, we’re beginning to see a flat our purge of “Unreliable” personnel. The current Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin has decreed that everything we look for in a man or woman is to be considered “Extremist.” Here are the details from the Daily Wire:

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin recently released a “Report on Countering Extremist Activity Within the Department of Defense,” an outgrowth of Austin’s January 2021 call for a worldwide “stand down” on extremism in the military.

Would you care to see what Austin considers “Extremism?” Here is a hint. The bozo who wrote this “report” is a firm believer in the racist indoctrination program known as “Critical Race Theory.

Critical race theory (CRT) advocate Bishop Garrison, Austin’s senior advisor for human capital, diversity, equity, and inclusion, heads the Countering Extremist Activity Working Group (CEAWG), which produced the 21-page report. Garrison’s panel included several representatives of the leftist American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), but conservative attorney Michael Berry, general counsel of the First Liberty Institute, was summarily removed.

If this had been an actual balanced report looking at potential issues, then you would have seen a broad spectrum of political outlooks. Instead, they booted anyone who might ask unwanted questions off the panel. This doesn’t bode well for the average military man or woman.

The resulting CEAWG report recommended updates to a Defense Department Instruction (DoDI 1325.6), which defines and prohibits “active participation” in “extremist activities.”  These include, “Advocating, engaging in or supporting terrorism” [or] the “overthrow of the government of the United States.”

That makes sense of course. However, that isn’t what Austin and his Communazi minions have in mind.

The Pentagon also forbids, “Advocating or engaging in unlawful force or violence to achieve goals that are political, religious, discriminatory, or ideological in nature.”

Again, nothing controversial here. The word here is “Unlawful.” If the Congress determines that a country, group or religion is a direct threat to the United States, they issue a declaration and the military deals with them, usually, as long as they aren’t being hamstrung, very permanently. The problem that is going to rear it’s ugly head is this addition.

New regulations add, “Military personnel are responsible for the content published on all personal and public Internet domains, including social media sites, blogs, websites, and applications.”

The devil here is not in the details; it will be in interpretations. Would a soldier’s “like” on a post “Joe Biden is not the president,” for example, be punishable as extremist behavior?

In the minds of the thugs, progressives and tyrants, that would be a hard yes. In it’s most basic form, it’s going to outlaw a soldier’s absolute right to “gripe.” While there is some truth to surrendering some of your rights when you take the oath, what this looks like is flat out suppression of free speech.

Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin asked that question at a Pentagon briefing. Spokesman John Kirby dodged the “hypothetical,” but referred to updated rules against posting, liking, sharing, re-tweeting, or otherwise distributing content [including emojis] when such action is taken with the intent to promote or otherwise endorse extremist activities.”

And who defines what is “Extremist?”

With the politicized, woke culture taking hold in the Pentagon, actions reflecting independent thought could jeopardize careers. Advocates of voter identification measures, for example, have been accused of “threatening democracy” and “promoting election sabotage.”

So, who are the extremists here? Here’s a hint.

Former FBI assistant director Andrew McCabe has put conservatives in the same category as Islamic terrorists, and some partisans see military “extremism” everywhere. In a Washington Post op-ed, three retired general officers hyperventilated about their fears of another attack on the U.S. Capitol, writing, “We are chilled to our bones about a coup succeeding next time . . . a military breakdown could lead to civil war.” In a still available 2019 tweet, Garrison himself accused Trump supporters of “normalizing” the actions of “extremists,” and “racists.”

McCabe belongs in prison. He was a key conspirator in the attempted coup against President Trump. Those three generals should be recalled and charged with sedition. (Flag officers are subject to recall unless physically incapable of serving as I understand it) All four of these people are in violation of the oaths they swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States.

Under the new rules, local commanders will be responsible for reviewing individual cases and punishing anyone “Advocating widespread unlawful discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex (including pregnancy), gender identity, or sexual orientation.”

So, if someone is a normal American in Uniform, and just happens to say something that goes against the “Commandments of the Woke,” they could be court martialed, imprisoned and dishonorably discharged? Oh that is going to go over real well out in Flyover country.

Definitions of unacceptable activities are extremely broad and could apply to situations that would otherwise be protected by the First Amendment. As with COVID vaccination mandates, accommodations for religious liberty are unlikely.

And that will probably end up in front of the Supreme Court. As I mentioned before, when you put on the uniform you do give up some rights, however, Freedom of Speech is not one of them. Yes, you can be charged for disrespecting an officer, but holding an opinion that a large number of people also hold is something the USSC will move to protect.

So, if a female Naval Academy midshipman opposes biological males in her own or other women’s swim teams, is she advocating “unlawful discrimination” based on gender identity?

That would be a Yes.

The Supreme Court’s 2020 Bostock v. Clayton County ruling expanding transgender employment rights did not apply to the military, but some will argue that it did.

I can’t speak to that case for any number of reasons, two of which are, I’m not a lawyer and I know absolutely nothing about it. The military is covered by the Uniform Code of Military Justice, not the civilian legal code. However, the USSC can and does rule on military cases, and if the Woke totalitarians in the Pentagon try to use it, it will end up in front of the Court.

Extremism of any kind is unacceptable, but Austin’s obsession with radicalism in the ranks has not been proportionate or even-handed. Out of two million military members, the CEAWG report admits that incidents are “rare . . . fewer than 100 over the past year.”

The man is flipping nuts for starters. When he travels overseas this clown basically climbs into a hazmat suit to “Protect himself from the deadly Wuhan Flu.” I also question his competence. If I recall correctly, he needed an exemption to become Secretary of Defense due to his being recently retired from the service. Frankly, his performance tells me it should not have been granted.

Griffin asked Kirby for a breakdown: “What portion if any, [were] members of the sort of groups that you might consider white supremacist groups or were there also some who may have been present at a Black Lives Matter protest?”

Kirby said he had no specifics, a peculiar response since the Defense Department tracks everything from bullets to battleships.

Four research contractors are working on DOD anti-extremist projects, but training materials concentrate on extremists on the far right of the political spectrum, not the far left.

There is a very simple explanation for this. Those contractors were hired because they are anti-American hard left socialists.

Kevin Roberts of the Washington Examiner cited ACLED in reporting, “of 1,101 violent incidents across 97 days, 933 of them directly involved Black Lives Matter. That’s 84.7% of the civic violence in America across summer 2020.”

For the Woke, the BCLOM, (Black Communist Lives Only Matter), were just peaceful protesters peacefully looting, burning and murdering across America. They weren’t the real threat. Those were people who had jobs, owned businesses, where white and support President Trump and didn’t take the law into their own hands and mow them down.

You would never suspect such a disproportionate ratio looking at last year’s “standdown” discussion guides, which included four examples of “problematic behaviors” – all of them referencing neo-Nazi and white supremacy groups.

Another group they Woke Generals and Civilian administrators won’t look at are what we call “RIF’s.” Now RIF used to mean “Reduction In Force” and was used when they Progressives had control of the government and decided it was a good time to gut the military. It’s now used to refer to “Radical Islamic Fundamentalists.” There have been a number of incidents, the worst being the Fort Hood massacre.

Officials at Walter Reed Medical Center, where Army Maj. Nidal Hasan had been a resident, knew that the failing psychiatrist was espousing jihadist threats. “Flashing red light” warning signs, including a lengthy slide presentation that defended suicide bombers and fratricide, clearly indicated that Hasan was a “ticking time bomb.”

And what did these people do to either pull Hasan back from the edge or put him someplace where he couldn’t do any harm, like Gitmo? They decided to make him “Someone else’s Problem.”

According to an NPR report, however, colleagues “worried they might be ‘discriminating’ against Hasan because of his seemingly extremist Islamic beliefs.” The self-described “Soldier for Allah” was transferred to Fort Hood, where he murdered 13 adults and one unborn baby.

That fiasco was able to happen for several reasons. One of the biggest was the fact that the soldiers were not armed. Their own commanders refused to let them carry on base, either their issue weapons or personal firearms.

Presaging today’s “woke” military, Army Chief of Staff General George Casey said, “Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

We need to start looking at cleaning house in the Pentagon. We have a generation of officers who put career ahead of the nation and their duty. This problem goes back decades and has many causes. One is the “Up or Out” policy where if you are passed over for promotion a couple of times, you are booted out of the military. Another is the demand for perfection. There are many cases where a ships officer makes a mistake and is basically cashiered. That mistake might not even be his or hers fault. It doesn’t matter.

Did you know that when he was an ensign, Admiral Chester Nimitz, who has an entire class of aircraft carriers named after him, accidentally put a ship aground and was convicted at court-martial for putting the ship in danger? Today, Nimitz would have been out in his ass. Back then, his senior commanders saw something in him and rehabilitated him. He then led the United States Navy to victory against the forces of Imperial Japan in World War 2.

I’m of the opinion that the goal of Austin and the other Progressive Liberal Communazis is nothing less than making sure they have military that they can trust will fire on American Citizens if they should get “Uppity.” Right now, if an order came down from President Bumbles Dementia to start rounding up MAGA Hat wearing Deplorable Trump supporters, they would flat out refuse and might even turn on those issuing the orders. These men and women take their oath to defend the Constitution against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic, very seriously. In the minds of the Progressive Ruling Elite, they are a threat and must be neutralized. This new regulation will be used to get these people. It will not end well I fear.
