Good day all. This story is breaking as I write this. It seems that Justin Trudeau is going to invoke the Emergencies Act sometime tonight. This is in response to the Canadian People telling that twerp that they’ve had enough of his Covid Mandates.
As to what the Emergencies Act is all about, from what little I’ve seen in the few minutes I’ve had to look into it, it seems that it gives the little tyrant absolute power for a limited amount of time. This is simplistic of course, and what little I have is from that great font of knowledge, Wikipedia. (So this means it’s probably wrong) Here are some of the details from the Post Millennial:
The Emergencies Act “is an act of the Parliament of Canada to authorize the taking of special temporary measures to ensure safety and security during national emergencies. It is considered to provide “the stiffest government emergency powers of any emergency law in Canada.”
So basically, the imposition of Martial Law?
It has never been used since its creation, having replaced the War Measures Act in the 1980s.
Leave it to Castro’s Bastard to be the first one to use it, and in a completely inappropriate way.
According to the CBC’s Travis Dhanraj, there are still no plans to deploy the military, and that the Act would be invoked were so that the provinces could have more power to deal with protests.
About that. It seems the premiers of four Provinces are not to happy with this declaration. Here are some of those details from the Post Millennial:
Four premiers have stated their discontent with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s reported decision to invoke the Emergencies Act.
The CBC reported on Monday that the prime minister would invoke the Act, with Trudeau’s itinerary being updated to include a 4:30 pm press conference soon thereafter.
Premier Scott Moe, along with Jason Kenney, and Francois Legault voiced their displeasure with the move, with Moe tweeting: “The illegal blockades must end, but police already have sufficient tools to enforce the law and clear the blockades, as they did over the weekend in Windsor.”
“Therefore, Saskatchewan does not support the Trudeau government invoking the Emergencies Act. If the federal government does proceed with this measure, I would hope it would only be invoked in provinces that request it, as the legislation allows.”
I wouldn’t hold your breath on that hope. Trudeau is a typical tyrannical thug. He refuses to even consider that the truckers and others have an opinion that differs from his. He has spent the entire time in hiding, and has refused to even discuss the issues that the truckers and others have.
As I mentioned, this is a breaking story. What is going to happen if this jerk goes all in is anyone’s guess. If this were the United States, I would say there would be a very good chance of violence. However, this is Canada, and the rumor is they spike their Moulson with Valium. The protesters have been very polite, however if Trudeau goes full Castro and orders mass arrests, it could go very wrong. Personally, I think it’s time for a vote of No Confidence. Then, if I understand the parliamentarian system, if Trudeau loses, he’s out and a new election will be called.

Justin Trudeau is the Canadian version of Joe Biden, without the senility.
