Good day all. The fall out from the two Supreme Court decisions continues to float down gently. One that has really set off Govno Hochul is being told by the Court that yes, the 2nd Amendment is real and that denying people their right to bear arms is unconstitutional.
Not content to actually follow the Constitution, a document that she has sworn to uphold, she is now conspiring with the already failing new Mayor of New York City Eric Adams to continue suppressing the right of the people to carry the tools they need to defend themselves. Here are the details from the Post Millennial:
Unelected New York Governor Kathy Hochul and NYC Mayor Eric Adams announced on June 23 their intentions to create new, restrictive gun legislation to circumvent the recent SCOTUS ruling banning constraints on conceal carry permits in New York.
Sooo, you intend to ignore the ruling by the Supreme court that covers both the 2nd Amendment AND the 14th Amendment? Were you born stupid, or did you go to school to learn to be stupid?
On June 23 the Supreme Court of the United States struck down a New York gun-control law that required citizens to show “proper cause” to obtain a concealed carry license. According to local news, when the ruling came down Governor Hochul said that none of the rules in New York would immediately change and she feared citizens would “rush to get concealed carry permits, using the decision as justification.”
Let me explain how an individuals rights work you stuttering thundercunt. They are God given, (If you are the religious sort), or natural rights, (If you aren’t the religious sort). They are NOT privileges that you hand out and take back on a whim. Being able to defend yourself from predators, be they four legged or two legged is one of those rights, and that includes the tools, in this case carrying a concealed weapon, is one of them.
If you think you are going to suppress that right, I suggest you get yourself a lawyer. Not only will the courts overrule you, the person or persons you intend to strip of their rights can sue you personally, and you won’t have the limited immunity hacks like yourself have to keep the serfs from taking everything you own when you lose the lawsuit.
New York City Mayor Adams said during a press conference, “The decision ignores this shocking crisis of gun violence every day engulfing not only New York, but engulfing our entire country.” Despite New York’s already strict gun laws, while Mayor Adams has been mayor his city has seen a surge in violent crime upwards of 40 percent higher than 2021.
Here is an interesting statistic. Places where the political class isn’t suppressing the 2nd Amendment rights of the people tend to have a lot lower crime rate. Why is this you ask? Criminals actually have an aversion to getting shot.
Both Mayor Adams and Governor Hochul agree that more gun laws are the answer.
According to The Daily Mail, Hochul intends to get around the Supreme Court’s decision by focusing on location rather than person when it comes to concealed firearms. The state is now considering limiting areas where concealed guns are permitted and calling them “sensitive locations.”
Oh I can see where this is going.
The “sensitive location” designation would conceivably use population density, like at stadiums, and proximity to public transportation as the determining factor for who can carry a gun.
I suspect that they would like to declare all of New York a “Sensitive Location.” I also expect it will be challenged very quickly, and also, probably ignored by people carrying guns. (Both the felons looking to rob and rape, and those who don’t intend to be victims)
Hochul admitted that the new criteria could easily extend to define the entirety of New York City, or any major city, as a “sensitive location.” When asked if cities writ large were “sensitive locations,” she responded, “in my opinion, they are”
Yep, just as I thought. They’re going to try and declare the entire state as “Sensitive.”
Prior to the Supreme Court’s ruling, Governor Hochul and the state Legislature had recently passed a batch of the country’s strictest gun laws. Some of the new statutes included raising the long gun purchasing age to 21, criminalizing body armor, and instituting several controversial “red flag laws.”
The thing about these laws is that they have no effect on crime other then making it easier for criminals. Add to that the Soros D.A.’s and the judges releasing these thugs with no restrictions and you have just declared open season on the people of New York. The ban on body armor, which is a defense tool only and incapable of causing harm is going to get people killed. The Red Flag laws are blatantly unconstitutional, not that the Communazis running New York care.
NYC’s Mayor Adams affirmed all of Hochul’s efforts and further explained some of the new gun control efforts on Twitter. Adams wrote that state and city officials should implement a “review of our application process” indicating that another law would be requiring gun applicants to show that they’ve received some kind of training.
While I approve of and encourage new gun owners to get training, constitutionally, it is not required and can be seen as being designed as a way to prevent people from exercising their 2nd Amendment rights.
Adams summarized his efforts by saying that he can’t allow a city already marked by record high crime to become the “Wild West.”
The “Wild West” wasn’t the Wild West. This is just another talking point rolled out by the Progressive Liberal Democratic Communazis when they want to suppress the 2nd Amendment. The Progressives have been using that lie every time people move to retake their rights bake. It also never happens.
A recent Buffalo mass shooting was carried out despite the implementation of the restrictive laws the Supreme Court shot down.
There was one person who was armed, a retired police officer. He, apparently, reverted to his training when he returned fire. The criminal was wearing body armor, and although the hero did hit the criminal, he stopped shooting thinking that he had hit the criminal and that was that. The criminal, not actually being shot, returned fire murdering the brave hero.
This is what happens when you turn the state into a criminal hunting ground and the only person allowed to have a gun is trained differently from the average armed citizen. An armed citizen will see the criminal still on his feet, and will keep firing. If he or she figures out that the criminal is wearing armor, they will probably shift their point of aim to the head. As I read in a novel recently, “Keep shooting until you see brains on the floor.
Hochul and Adams need to be slapped down hard and painfully, preferably right in their bank accounts. They should be personally sued and prevented from using the taxpayers as a means to avoid being held liable for deliberately conspiring to to suppress the constitutional rights of the citizens of New York. I would also add that if one single person who they blocked from having the tools needed to protect themselves is harmed, they should be criminally charged. It’s time to punish these tyrants to the fullest extent of the law that they hold in utter contempt.
