NY Govno Hochul declares that criminals don’t need to worry about armed citizens

Good day all. New York has a long history of denying the people their rights under the 2nd Amendment, (Along with most of the rest of the Constitution). Recently, the Supreme Court issued a ruling that blew New York’s gun bans out of the water. In response, the unelected Govno, Kathy Hochul and the state legislature basically ignored the ruling, and are continuing to make it nearly impossible for a person to defend themselves.

Added to this a recent statement by the A.W.F.U.L. (Angry White Female Urban Liberal), Govno is her belief that a good guy with a gun can’t stop evil people. Here are the details from Fox News:

Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul declared at an event celebrating the implementation of stricter gun laws that the “theory” of “a good guy with a gun” stopping “bad guys” with guns is over in the Empire State.

“This whole concept that a good guy with a gun will stop the bad guys with a gun, it doesn’t hold up. And the data bears this out, so that theory is over,” Hochul said Wednesday, (August 31st).

Her comments came amid the state rolling out new laws in response to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that New York’s regulations on obtaining a concealed carry permit were unconstitutionally restrictive.

The new laws took effect Thursday and ban people from carrying firearms at most hospitals, restaurants, transit systems, Times Square, parks, schools, theaters and other areas deemed “sensitive locations.”

Basically, New York has declared the entire state to be a “Sensitive Space” similar to a courthouse or government building. This flies in the face of the intent of the ruling. It’s also the places that criminals will go after people.

“We don’t need guns on our streets. We don’t need people carrying guns in our subways. We don’t need people carrying guns in our schools. We don’t need people carrying in our places of worship. We don’t need them carrying them into bars or restaurants. Because that only makes people less safe,” Hochul said Wednesday.

Basically, this AWFUL has just announced that these locations will be undefended. You certainly can’t expect the police to be there, especially after how they’ve been treated by the Progressives for the last few years. Even if a cop were on site during an incident, and actually did do his or her job, New York police are not known as the greatest marskmen. (Magazine dumps and hitting everything but the target. Basically they shoot like Star Wars storm troopers)

The governor said the legislation is in direct response to the Supreme Court’s ruling in June, explaining the new laws are New York leaders telling SCOTUS justices, “We’re going to stand up, pass smart legislation.”

“The Supreme Court with all this data, with all this knowledge, with a law that was working just fine in our state, decide to take us backwards, possibly opening the door to more tragedies when people can carry guns concealed,” she said, citing data that New York has fewer deaths by firearms per 100,000 population than states with more lax gun laws.

“We’re not deterred. We didn’t back down. We stood up and fought back,” Hochul added.

In other words, she is and the State Legislature are going to ignore the Constitution of the United States and the ruling from the Supreme Court. It also denies reality, something that Progressives are very good at doing.

The remarks follow liberal media outlets downplaying and criticizing a recent incident where an armed man in an Indianapolis mall shot and killed a shooter. Local police praised the armed citizen as a “good Samaritan” who prevented “many more people” from dying at the hands of the shooter.

That was just one of several recent incidents where a “Good guy, (Or girl), with a gun stopped a mass shooting. We also have a couple of examples where people relied on police to do their jobs in a similar situation with very dissimilar results. (Uvalde, Parkland, places where police coward in place instead of going after the shooters) We’ve also had several incidents in the past where someone in a church or other place of worship had a gun and fired on a criminal who came in and started shooting. Progressives would rather not think about those situations. It breaks their world view.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams added in remarks Wednesday that “the U.S. Supreme Court’s Bruen decision was the shot heard round the world that took dead aim at the safety of all New Yorkers.”

“We will be posting signage at every entrance into Times Square informing those traveling through that the area is a gun-free zone and that licensed gun carriers and others may not enter with a gun unless otherwise specially authorized by law. As mayor of New York City and a former police officer, my top priority will always be the safety of all 8.8 million people who call this city home, so while the Supreme Court decision may have opened an additional river feeding the sea of gun violence, we are doing everything we can to dam it and keep New York the safest big city in America,” he added.

Oh that’s funny! New York City, one of the safest in America? There is a reason people are leaving in droves, and it’s not due to the city being “Safe.” Just the opposite in fact. Under failed mayor Adams and his predecessor, failed mayor de Blasio, New York City is suffering under a massive crime wave, almost as bad as Chicago, another city that denies people the means to protect themselves. The contempt for these new restrictions on the Right to Keep and Bear Arms has exploded all over Twitler. Here are a few examples.

Hochul’s NY releases more than 80% of repeat offenders caught illegally possessing a firearm — they walk from felony charges. Hochul only cares about the repeat violent offenders, not the law-abiding who will be victimized from this.

You’ve lost control of New York. People are getting robbed, carjacked, stabbed, & beaten in broad daylight. Criminals no longer fear punishment because they know democrat district attorneys will have them back on the streets within hours.

That hits the nail on the head. New York’s District Attorney is a Soros DA and like off of that ilk, has nothing but contempt for the citizens. The Progressive Liberal Democratic Communazis have done everything they can to insure a safe environment…for criminals. Their victims? They mean less than nothing to them.

I expect yet another legal challenge to this garbage and that it too will be ruled unconstitutional. If/when that happens, I would love to see every single politician who voted for this, and Govno Hochul, held personally liable. In other words, their utter contempt for the Constitution and the rule of law strips them of any immunity, and they will have to defend their actions in civil court. The only way these vermin will learn is if they are personally ruined for their actions.

New York has been following this pattern since the 1825 Sullivan Act. They should have been slapped down then. Lawyers and judges can’t parse the definition of “people.” As is “the Right of the People to Keep and BEAR Arms Shall NOT be Infringed.” Simple, plain english. This means that EVERY arms control act, including NFA of 1934 (punitive taxes on automatic rifles and sound suppressors), GCA of 1968 (denying arms to ex-felons), the Brady act (five day waiting period) and each and every “Red Flag” law is a prima facie violation of the Constitution of the United States and as per Marbury v. Madison, null and of no force. Before anybody starts extolling the virtues of the GCA of 1968, any infringement you will allow will be used to infringe you own rights eventually. The “slippery slope” argument may not be valid in formal debate, it is how the world works in real life
