Good day all. When Speaker of the House gave Tucker Carlson access to all the security footage from the January 6th, 2020 protest, the Democrats and not a few Republicans began screaming to high heaven. The reason, as we’re now seeing, is that the footage was diametrically the opposite of that the January 6th Committee had been saying.
One of the subjects of Tucker Carlson’s report was Jacob Chansley, the “QAnon Shaman. He was made out to be the poster child of the “Worst event since Pearl Harbor and 9/11 Combined!” and he was basically railroaded into an unfair plea agreement. The claims that he was leading an insurrection have been completely blown out of the water, with the latest showing him asking people to leave the capitol building.
Now people are starting to question the whole January 6th committee’s actions for the last two years. Pretty much everyone on the GOP side figured out it was nothing more than a kangaroo committee set up by Nancy Pelosi to “Get Trump!” and anyone associated with him. The televised “hearings” showing what they claimed was “The Truth!” now appear to be nothing more than doctored or cherry picked footage.
Now people are starting to ask very pointed questions regarding the entire January 6th Committee, and many now want a formal investigation into the committee and everyone involved. Here are the details from Newsmax:
After Fox News show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” aired previously unseen footage of the Jan. 6, 2021, attack at the U.S. Capitol, former President Donald Trump and a slew of Republicans called for investigations into the select committee.
“Great courage shown by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy in releasing the surveillance footage to Tucker Carlson so that our Country, and indeed the World, can see what really went on during the January 6th events,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “A whole new, and completely opposite, picture has now been indelibly painted. The Unselect Committee LIED, and should be prosecuted for their actions.”
Obviously, the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, likes to go over the top with his tweets, or truths since he in Truth Social. Still, the actions of that fraud of a committee should be looked into.
The footage aired Monday showed a sliver of more than 40,000 hours of footage provided to Carlson by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
“The footage does not show an insurrection or a riot in progress,” said Carlson. “The video record does not support the claim that January 6 was an insurrection. In fact, it demolishes that claim. And that’s exactly why the Democratic Party and its allies in the media prevented you from seeing it.”
While there is no doubt that there were some troublemakers, most of that took place outside of the building. A few idiots did cause some damage, and honestly, I don’t see anyone saying they should be let go with no repercussions. This differs of course from the remarks by the Progressive Liberal Elite regarding Antifa and the BCLOM riots the previous summer. As far as those worthies are concerned, Antifa and the BCLOM, (Black Communist Only Lives Matter), were engaged in mostly peaceful attacks, assaults, looting and arson.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., tweeted: “The J6 Committee LIED to America … They must be held accountable.”
Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., tweeted: “The January 6th Committee was a partisan disgrace … We knew it then and now we have proof.”
Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., who was the chairman of the select committee, condemned McCarthy’s decision to give the footage to Carlson, referring to Jan. 6 as “one of the darkest days in the history of democracy.”
Thompson recently admitted that the committee didn’t look at any of the footage. His credibility, never very high in the first place, has just dropped below the deepest point in the Marianas Trench.
El Salvador President Nayib Bukele tweeted: “The United States Government is putting PROVEN INNOCENTS in jail, and is, at the same time, concerned about us putting PROVEN CRIMINALS in jail.”
This is a deliberate smack in the face to Merrick Garland and Joe Bumbles Dementia. When you have a third world country, not known for caring much about civil rights, accusing the United States Government of holding political prisoners, and a large, (and growing). percentage people agree with the sentiment, you have a problem.
One of the people involved in the protest is currently doing 41 months one what now seems to be trumped up charges. As I mentioned previously, Jacob Chansley was bullied into a plea agreement and berated by the judge for something that it now appears he never did.
Carlson challenged the mainstream narrative of Jan. 6, highlighting noteworthy moments like that of the “QAnon Shaman” Jacob Chansley, now serving a 41-month prison term for his involvement, although the footage reveals he was escorted by at least nine officers through the capitol building.
According to Julie Kelly of American Greatness, Chansley spent over 300 days in solitary confinement under court-ordered pretrial detention, where he ultimately pleaded guilty to obstruction of an official proceeding, a nonviolent offense.
There have been calls in the House of Representatives to start looking into the January 6th Committee, and I think they are now beginning to get underway. I would like nothing better then to see Lizard Chaney and Adam Kinzinger brought before an investigative committee and forced to justify their actions. (They’re out of congress now) I don’t know what, if any sanctions can be brought against the members of the Kangaroo Committee, current and former, but proving them to be frauds, liars and corrupt would be a good start.
