Good day all. Since the first day of the worst president* in American History, Joe Biden, the United States has been suffering a flat out invasion of illegal aliens along the southern border. Texas has been especially hard hit and they have been taking measures to, if not stop, at least slow the flood.
Texas has been put float barriers into the Rio Grande and stringing razor wire along the shores. The Biden Maladministration has been cutting the wire and demanding that Texas remove the floating barriers. There are a number of lawsuits meandering their way through the court system with Texas generally winning.
Recently, Texas passed a law making it illegal to be in Texas if you weren’t a citizen, legal resident alien or here on a legitimate tourist visa. It grants the state judges the power to remove illegal aliens. This has, as expected, drawn the ire of the hard left and the DoJ. (As if there is a difference any longer) They are once again threatening to sue Texas. Here are the details from Fox News:
The Biden administration on Thursday threatened to sue Texas if it moves forward with a new anti-illegal immigration law signed this month by Gov. Greg Abbott – but the Republican governor says he is prepared to take the fight to the Supreme Court.
Abbott signed the legislation, SB 4, this month, which allows law enforcement to arrest illegal immigrants and allows state judges to order them removed from the country.
Normally, an illegal alien would be handed over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be processed and booted from the United States. Since the installation of the worst president* in American History, Joe Biden, this isn’t happening. They are releasing these criminals into the United States, never to be seen again.
Texas has been in the lead in dealing with this invasion, starting with shipping thousands of the illegals to sanctuary cities. This has had the effect of turning a number of Democrat mayors and some governors against Joe Biden and start demanding that he do something to stop the border crossings.
The Biden Maladministration has, as expected, done nothing. Now Texas has decided that since the federal government has abrogated their authority, it’s up to the states to pick up the slack. This is why SB 4 was passed and signed into law. Now the DoJ is once again showing their true colors.
In a letter to Abbott, first reported by the Houston Chronicle, the Department of Justice says it will “pursue all appropriate legal remedies to ensure that Texas does not interfere with the functions of the federal government.”
The letter says that the law “intrudes into a field that is occupied by the federal government and is preempted,” citing a 2012 Supreme Court ruling, U.S. v Arizona, which found that the federal government has the power to enforce immigration law, according to the outlet.
Perhaps if the federal government was actually doing their job, this wouldn’t even be an issue. While I’m not at all versed in the law, I suspect that whoever wrote this law is and worked out how to pass constitutional muster. Currently, the DoJ is not doing to well with regards to stopping Texas from protecting it’s residents.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, Abbott’s office said Texas was prepared to go to the nation’s highest court in defense of the legislation.
“Texas is prepared to take this fight all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to protect Texans and Americans from President Biden’s open border policies,” spokesperson Renae Eze said. “President Biden’s deliberate and dangerous inaction at our southern border has left Texas to fend for itself. Governor Abbott signed Senate Bill 4 into law last week to help stop the tidal wave of illegal entry into Texas as the President refuses to enforce federal immigration laws.”
That last bit, the part about Biden refusing to enforce federal immigration laws, is the kicker in this whole mess. Honestly, this could be used as part of the impeachment charges when the House finally brings them. (Assuming that they pull their thumbs out and proceed with the hearings)
The legal battle is the latest clash between Abbott and the Biden administration over the illegal immigrant crisis at the border, of which Texas has been on the front line. Abbott has accused the Biden administration of failing to secure the border, while the administration has accused Abbott of promoting inhumane policies at the border.
No, it isn’t inhuman to keep criminals out of the United States. Texas is not doing what I, and frankly a lot of others want to do. Forget the razor wire, I want to see machine guns, land mines and artillery. Send the mobs of illegals heading for the border one warning. If they continue to try and cross illegally? Let them have it, good and hard.
Last week a federal appeals court temporarily blocked the Biden administration from cutting razor wire set up by Texas earlier this year. The state had sued in October and had been rebuffed by a federal judge, but the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals barred the Biden administration from damaging, destroying, or otherwise interfering with Texas’s [concertina wire] fence in the vicinity of Eagle Pass, Texas” unless it is for a medical emergency.
I looked up the original case judge and he was a Bush RINO judge. Those judges tend to blow hot and cold when it comes to issues, but many are transnational globalists and tend to rule in a way that helps the trans-nationalists at the expense of America.
Separately, the DOJ has sued Texas over its deployment of buoys in the Rio Grande to stop illegal crossings. Texas says the buoys are designed to save lives by preventing people from entering the river, but humanitarian groups and the DOJ argue the barrier poses a safety risk.
If the criminals don’t try crossing illegally, they won’t have to worry about drowning.
The threat of a new lawsuit comes as the border is again seeing record numbers at the border. Fox News reported this week that during the four-day Christmas weekend, there were more than 35,000 migrant encounters, and since Dec. 1, there have been over 250,000 migrant encounters at the southern border.
Things are coming to a head with regards to the Biden Maladministration’s not just abject failure, but outright refusal to secure the borders of the United States. There may come a point where the courts tell the states, especially Texas, to “Cease and desist” and the states tell the courts, “No.” If/when this happens, the constitutional crises people talk about will happen.
As you can see, I’ve put on my tin foil hat since we are about to enter the “Conspiracy Zone!” The entire border mess, in my and many others opinion has moved from incompetence to being intentional. The Democrat Party, which is now no better then the old 20th century totalitarian parties, that would be Nazis, Fascists and Communists, wants to destroy the United States.
What better way then to admit tens of millions of illegals and use them to turn the United States into a single party nation that answers to the World Economic Forum and end the greatest nation on Earth. Sounds like a paranoid conspiracy theory doesn’t it?
