Liberals want to protect bureaucrats from President Trump

Good day all. One thing we learned, as did President Trump in his first term, was that the Federal Bureaucracy is hostile to anything that restricts their power. Before the Tainted Election of 2020, President Trump was looking to start deep cuts in the unelected bureaucracy,

When Dementia Joe was installed into the Oval Office, his handlers in the Deep State went on a federal hiring binge and allowing the bureaucrats run rampant in suppressing the American people. One of the things the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, has been talking about is gutting the out of control bureaucracy. This has alarmed Liberals, Progressives and the Deep State. Now they are looking for ways to block President Trump, should he win reelection, from cleaning house. Here are the details from the Daily Wire:

Liberal advocacy organizations are throwing support behind a proposed federal rule that would make firing bureaucrats more difficult amid polling suggesting that former President Donald Trump may win November’s presidential election.

The proposed Office of Personnel Management (OPM) rule would make it more difficult for civil servants to be reclassified as Schedule F employees, who can be fired at will by the president, according to the federal register. Liberal organizations like Democracy Forward and Protect Democracy, which are involved in efforts to obstruct a potential second Trump term, have voiced support for the rule.

The bureaucrats in this country are flat out of control. Thanks to civil service laws, it’s almost impossible to fire these people. Now, not all bureaucrats are evil, incompetent, power mad scum. I’ve dealt with a few who were helpful, polite and worked with me to solve some problems I was having in a very timely manner.

On the flip side, I’ve run into the stereotypical bureaucrats who are a complete waste of oxygen who need to be fired. When SWMBO first came to the United States, she ended up with two valid Social Security numbers. Obviously, there was a screw up somewhere. We did the right thing and went to the local Social Security office to get it straightened out. What a complete waste of time.

I went on to a forum to vent, and ran into an employee of the Social Security Administration who was based in Washington and also had a wife who came in from another country. He offered to help me and we spoke directly. I sent him all the information and he looked into it. He also called the local SSA office we had been to. When we next talked, his first comment was “My God, those people are stupid!” He had gotten everything straightened out and told me all we had to do was show up and present the two cards and some paperwork he sent us.

When SWMBO and I went in, we saw the same woman we had been trying to work with at her window. She saw us and you could see the exasperated sigh she let out. We calmly waited our turn and when it came up, I simply said, “hello, we have a problem.” and laid out the two cards and the letter we had been sent. The look on her face was perfect. She knew that she now had hours of work ahead of her to fix the mess she didn’t want to deal with in the first place. SWMBO and I left and had a good laugh at the bureaucrats expense. She was definitely someone who should have been fired.

Some conservative organizations have expressed opposition to the proposed rule, citing the necessity to root out political bias in the federal bureaucracy.

The federal workforce has ideologically polarized, and this rulemaking would impede the ability of presidents whose views differ from the bureaucracy’s to implement their agendas,” the America First Policy Institute argued in a letter to OPM.

That is the idea. The goal is to protect the bureaucracy at all costs, not to actually run things effectively for the current administration. If that administration is one that you oppose, then deliberate sabotage is the name of the game.

Liberal organizations, however, support the rule change to guard against Trump replacing federal employees with “partisan loyalists,” among other things.

Protect Democracy, which is composed of the 501(c)(3) Protect Democracy Project and the 501(c)(4) United to Protect Democracy, called the rule an effort to “strengthen a critical part of our democracy.”

It would help protect the basic employment rights of federal civil servants who swear an oath not to the person of the president, but to the Constitution and laws of the United States,” according to Protect Democracy.

Democracy Forward released a letter representing a coalition of 27 organizations backing the rule change, claiming it would “ensure that the American people are served by highly-qualified, experienced, and dedicated civil servants.”

Highly qualified civil servants? Dedicated and experienced? Really?

Now that we have that out of the way, the Daily Wire article goes on to list all the groups that want to protect their grip on the United States Government. Surprising no one, George Soros is pouring huge sums into some of these 501(c) groups.

Trump has reportedly discussed plans to reshape the federal bureaucracy should he win reelection, which has stoked concern among the liberal organizations supporting the OPM rule change.

The former president said he would seek to root out the “corrupt bureaucrats who have weaponized our justice system” as well as “corrupt actors in our national security and intelligence apparatus,” The Associated Press reported.

Considering all that’s happened to President Trump and who was involved, most of them government officials, yeah, they damn well should be worried. At best, they should lose their jobs. From what we’ve been learning over the last few years, a fair number need to go to jail.

Trump could convert as many as 50,000 civil servants into political appointees if elected, allowing him to fire them at will, Politico reported.

I call that a good start. Honestly, we could probably do without half the useless layabouts sucking down taxpayer money. (See Anthony Fauci)

Trump allies have shrugged off the attempt by OPM to safeguard bureaucrats, arguing that they could use the same rulemaking process to reverse the proposed rule, a sentiment legal experts agree with, according to The New York Times.

It could go even worse for the bureaucracy if the Republicans regain control of the Senate and increase their hold on the House. They can completely overhaul the entire civil service system, making it easier to fire the deadwood.

Many civil servants working in the Trump administration deliberately undermined the former president’s orders and goals, according to Miles Taylor, who served as chief of staff in the Department of Homeland Security from 2017 to 2019. A book authored by journalist Bob Woodward recounts a similar dynamic in the Trump administration.

And right there, that should have been sufficient grounds for termination. The damage done by these people can’t be underestimated. Now there is also something else working it’s way through the courts and is now being looked at by the Supreme Court. It’s the so called “Chevron Rule.”

This was a Supreme Court decision that all but granted the bureaucracies carte blanche to do whatever they wanted to people. It allowed the various bureaucracies to set up their own courts with no Senatorial review and impose massive fines among other things. The case in question, Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, came about when the National Marine Fisheries Service decided that to monitor fishing boots, they would put inspectors on them and the boat owners would have to pay for it.

This is now in front of the Supreme Court and if the court does the right thing and overturns the original, and wrong, decision, it will throw a massive wrench into the Bureaucratic works.

People in this country have flat out had it with the “Administrative State” and their revocation of people’s rights. Thanks to these bureaucrats, we have seen censorship in violation of the 1st Amendment, assaults on gun owners, sellers and manufacturers in violation of the 2nd amendment and what amounts seizing people’s property in violation of the 5th Amendment.

I think that a major change will be coming to Washington if/when President Trump is elected, especially if the GOP, and not the Establishment GOP, takes full control of Congress. President Trump wanted to “Drain the Swamp” in his first term, but was thwarted by the Deep State and the bureaucrats. Now he knows and I think he will be far better prepared.
