DoJ working to remove Federal Judge from Trump Case(s)

Good day all. Recently, I wrote about a Biden Judge who flipped out in court and screamed at DoJ lawyers over trees being cut down at a golf course. Judge Ana Reyes, who has been ruling against the Trump Administration almost since Day One of his administration, and getting overturned, showed just how unfit for her role as a federal judge she is.

Now the DoJ has started the process to have her removed from this case, and I expect any other case involving President Trump and the Trump Administration. Here are the details from the Washington Times:

The Department of Justice has asked a federal judge to recuse herself after she yelled at department lawyers and demanded senior officials appear and testify on whether President Trump prodded them to cut down trees so he could rebuild the golf course on East Potomac Park south of the National Mall.

I started this post a day earlier and the Washington Times article was updated. The above paragraph has been edited out since the hearing has taken place. Surprising no one, that cow has refused to recuse herself.

U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes has rejected a Department of Justice attempt to remove her from a case over tree-cutting at East Potomac Golf Links, denying the recusal demand in a 13-page opinion late Sunday before pressing forward with an evidentiary hearing Monday.

Judge Reyes kicked off a nearly four-hour hearing Monday with almost 20 minutes of full-throated opening remarks directed at the government’s attorneys, saying she felt betrayed by the tree cutting.

She pronounced herself “furious” and “beyond disappointed,” plus called the administration’s arguments “frustrating,” “preposterous” and “totally beyond the pale.”

Reyes hates President Trump. She isn’t just biased, she appears to be prejudging cases involving the administration and President Trump.

The Justice Department says her self-acknowledged fury means she is no longer able to be objective.

“Judge Reyes’ histrionics in prior hearings have clearly demonstrated she is no longer impartial,” Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward Jr. wrote in the motion Friday night.

The Washington Times article goes into how all this began. The short version is that the Trump Administration is working to renovate the East Potomac Golf Links. The Libtards have been working to block every renovation project President Trump has initiated, including the White House. In this case, a number of trees were cut down and this is what set off Reyes.

Judge Reyes has asked the D.C. Preservation League and two local residents, Mr. Trump’s opponents in the case, to respond to the recusal demand by Sunday.

That is a day before she is slated to take testimony from Jessica Bowron, acting director of the National Park Service, and Gregory Wischer, deputy chief of staff at the Interior Department.

Sunday? That seems unusual. I would think that this would be handled during working hours. Oh well.

Judge Reyes has signaled that she believes they were acting at Mr. Trump’s behest when they ordered the axing of more than 400 trees on Oct. 11.

Of course she does. President Trump loves to micromanage everything in Washington. That is a sarcastic remark in case you thought this is actually how President Trump handles things. Micromanagers generally are bad managers. Just look at Jimmy Carter. He was a micromanager and involved himself in things best left to lower management.

Park Service officials said the cutting has nothing to do with Mr. Trump’s plans for the golf course. Those officials said it was part of a 7-year-old plan to restore the course to its original vision of open vistas, rather than the crowded parkland setting it has become in the past century.

Well, if there was a plan and they were following it, then I don’t see a problem. I don’t play golf but I have ogled Paige Spiranac on TV. One problem with trees is they can block shots. Depending on where they were located, they may have been in the way. As to the timing? That was when a crew became available for the work.

Judge Reyes was not buying it.

“The court concludes, on this limited record, that government officials raced to undertake the [tree management plan] because President Trump demands haste on his redesign, and not because of some newfound zeal to implement a small part of a seven-year-old [plan],” she wrote.

The judge’s self-acknowledged fury at the Trump administration stems from her feeling of betrayal.

Betrayal? Obviously, Reyes hasn’t learned the first rule of holes. When you find yourself in one, STOP DIGGING! With every word she speaks, she condemns herself as a stage 4 sufferer of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

She said she had repeatedly given the government the benefit of the doubt over the past months, brushing aside anti-Trump litigants’ demands that she issue orders barring any major changes at the golf course while the case proceeded. She had said she trusted the government to follow her directives not to ask, and so she did not feel a formal order was needed.

Ahh! I see, she was issuing order via her psychic powers. Now I understand why she’s angry. How dare these people not understand her thoughts.

The DoJ has asked other Judges who have shown their blatant bias to recuse themselves. In most cases, they have refused. Then they rule against the Administration. The Administration appeals and those very same judges get bitch slapped by the Supreme Court. However, I don’t recall any of the other COB judges going so far off the rails as Ana Reyes. It may be all but impossible to remove her from the bench, however she can be “Benched” so to speak. Basically removed from hearing any cases.

It’s also possible that a formal ethics complaint will be filed. That will probably go nowhere either. It won’t be due to a lack of evidence. Rayes own big mouth has provided plenty of evidence. It will be due to the Judicial “Deep State” protecting her.

That will leave one last option. The Administration walking into her court and flat out telling her that she can rule however she wants. Her order will be ignored and disregarded. Of the three, I think Reyes getting slapped down yet again is a very high probability. There is a chance she will get reamed out by an ethics panel. The final option, while low on the probability list, is a possibility after the midterms. We shall see what happens.

Myself having been Uruguayan once upon a time, this lady brings great shame on her birth country and the one she is now purportedly a citizen of. If she is not a U.S. citizen with sworn oath, she should not be a judge.
Nothing surprising though, I am 99.9% certain she is one of the local communists that fled the country during the 10 years of sanity that ran Uruguay until it was turned back to the politicians (and is now once again neo communist though they dress that up with other terms).
We do need a better mechanism to remove rogue judiciary in this country, sadly the entrenched politics in DC will never take such action.
