Kalifornistan’s sanctuary law unconstitutional

Good day all. Recently, the Kalifornistan Politburo passed a law that cut off all government communications with Federal authorities with regards to illegal aliens. That law was roundly denounced by President Trump and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Basically, the new law forbids local police from contacting ICE when they have an illegal alien in custody. When Ice finds out about these criminals, they come in and take them away. A number of cities objected to this new law for many reasons, one of which was the safety of American citizens and those lawfully in the United States. They sued and now a judge has ruled in their favor. Here are the details from Eye Witness News:

An Orange County judge on Thursday ruled that SB54, California’s so-called “sanctuary state” law, is unconstitutional. The Superior Court judge said the law violates the rights of charter cities. The ruling comes in response to a challenge from Huntington Beach officials. The city opposed the controversial law, arguing it infringes on local governments’ authority. The judge agreed, saying cities must be allowed to police themselves.

Well, that was a kick in the teeth to the Kalifornistan Central Committee. They like having criminal aliens in the state. It allows them to rig elections and gain seats in congress during a census. Never mind that these criminals are, well criminals.

The law bars some cooperation between local cities and federal officials enforcing immigration laws. Exceptions include cases that involve violent or serious felonies.

As I recall, the original law was going to punish anyone who handed illegal aliens over to ICE. That part was removed, but the whole intent was to protect criminals. Needless to say, the cities involved in this suit are rather happy with the ruling.

Huntington Beach City Attorney Michael Gates called the ruling a victory for the state’s 121 charter cities.

“I’m very pleased with the court’s ruling,” Gates said. “(This) is a significant victory for the rule of law, the CA Constitution, the City’s Charter authority, and other Charter Cities. We will continue to hold Sacramento accountable for unconstitutional State law overreaches. The City of Huntington Beach will not allow Sacramento to violate its Constitutionally protected rights.”

The moonbats in Kalifornistan have, for all intents and purposes, killed the state. They have been chipping away at the rights of Americans and those who live her lawfully, and protecting those who couldn’t be bothered going through the proper immigration process.

I fully expect the Kalifornistan Central Committee to appeal this decision to their supreme court. (Whatever it’s called) I won’t be at all surprised if those learned ignoramuses reverse the ruling. After all, it’s well known that centralized control is absolutely necessary to ensure the continued collapse of the formally great state of California. Making sure criminals aren’t interfered with is very important to that goal.
