Good day all. Since this debacle known as the Great Panicdemic of 2020 began, we’ve been writing about various governors and mayors and how they have been folding, spindling and mutilating the Constitution.
One of the worst offenders is the governor of Michigan, Wretched Gretchen Whitmar. Her orders regarding the China Virus have amounted a declaration of Martial Law and the suspension of both the state and federal constitutions. This has led to large protests against her actions occurring. Wretched Gretchen’s answer to this? She decided to lock down the state for another month to punish the citizens of Michigan. Here are the details from Fox News:
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Thursday extended Michigan‘s state of emergency and disaster declaration through May 28, hours before it was set to expire and after hundreds of protesters, some of whom were armed, gathered in the state Capitol building to voice their displeasure with the Democratic governor.
Not to quick on the uptake is Wretched Gretchen? The people carrying rifles didn’t have magazines in them or if they did, the magazines were empty. That isn’t to say they didn’t have a few loaded ones handy if needed. However, Rather then take the hint, this SCoaMF decided to double down.
Whitmer also took shots at the Republican-controlled legislature for refusing to extend the order earlier in the day.
“By refusing to extend the emergency and disaster declaration, Republican lawmakers are putting their heads in the sand and putting more lives and livelihoods at risk,” she said in a statement. “I’m not going to let that happen.”
The emergency declaration gives Whitmer additional powers to issue executive orders during an emergency. She claimed she had the emergency authority regardless of what state lawmakers did.
Well, talk about throwing down the gauntlet! I would hazard a guess that Wretched Gretchen has the idea that she is the law, and can do whatever she wants. The legislature’s response? Challenge Accepted.
In a rejection of the governor, the state House and Senate adopted resolutions Thursday to legally challenge her authority and also approved a bill to allow some of her mandates but not her stay-at-home order, which expires May 16.
Well, I suspect come November, there are going to be quite a few members of the legislature, on both sides of the aisle, who will be looking for new jobs. They seemed to have missed the point that the people have had it and aren’t in a very good mood right now.
Whitmer said she planned to veto the bill and won’t sign any bills that “that constrain her ability to protect the people of Michigan from this deadly virus in a timely manner,” her office said, according to The Detroit News.
I think Wretched Gretchen may be counting on the other Democratic CommuNazis in the legislature to protect her royal ass and not override her veto. However, with the exception of some totally out there progressive idiots, those same legislators are also getting an earful from their constituents . They may decided that the best way to hold on to their phony baloney jobs will be to override the veto’s.
In her declaration announcement, Whitmer said scientific data shows the state is not ready to resume normal operations.
“It defies common sense and science,” she said during a virtual town hall Thursday night. “We are still in a state of emergency. We have to take this seriously. If we are smart, we can start to reengage safely.”
This cow wouldn’t know science if it slapped her in the back of the head. There is already a move to recall her, which she is illegally trying to suppress. There are also a growing number of both angry, and increasingly desperate people that she’s ignoring. I’ve also read that a number of local officials and police officers are flat out refusing to enforce her pronouncements. I suspect that Wretched Gretchen Whitmer isn’t long for the governors office. She will either be impeached and removed, recalled and kicked out, assassinated or flat our lynched. (The last two would be very bad and would signal the beginnings of the Boogaloo we’ve been trying to avoid) In any case, Wretched Gretchen will be a “One and Done” governor. So much for her fantasies of being Biden’s VP and getting her hair sniffed daily.
