The Maladministration refuses to develop Domestic energy sources

Good day all. With the Russians invading the Ukraine, there have been calls to basically kill their economy with economic sanctions. This would include not buying Russian oil. This, of course, makes sense. The Russians are selling their oil at high prices for a very simple reason. Dementia Joe reversed the policies of president Trump that led the United States to being energy independent for the first time in decades.

With oil prices climbing over $100/barrel, on top of the Bidenflation, people are hurting. You would think that the maladministration would see the error of their ways and would reverse course and get the oil companies exploring, drilling, refining and shipping fuel. You would be seriously mistaken. Here are the details from Fox Business News:

White House press secretary Jen Psaki said the U.S. needs to decrease its reliance on foreign oil by switching over to renewable energy, not increasing domestic production.

“We need to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, on oil in general, and we need to look at other ways of having energy in our country and others,” Psaki said during an interview with ABC This Week Sunday. “We’ve seen over the last week or so… a number of European countries are recognizing they need to reduce their own reliance on Russian oil.”

One of the major problems, and this is yet another screw up by President* Bumbles Dementia, is that Europe is getting a major part of their energy from Russia. The Greatest President of the 21^st Century, Donald Trump, tried to get the Eurotrash morons to develop real sources of energy including nuclear. Instead, they decided that solar, (In a region that has clouds most of the year), wind and Unicorn fart power instead.

The French, for all their idiocies, understand that nuclear is the way to go and have been building nuclear power plants for decades. The Germans, solidly in the thrall of the anti-human Greens, closed all their nuclear power plants, and, while waiting for the miracle that will never happen, the magical “Green Energy,” have been using natural gas. Guess where that gas is coming from?

Psaki’s comments come as fears grow that energy prices could continue to rise amid Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine, with many NATO countries such as Germany dependent on Russian oil to fuel their countries.

That dependence has also limited the international response to Russia’s invasion, with sanctions being specifically designed not to target Russian fuel exports amid fears such a move could send energy prices soaring in Europe.

As to why the expect prices to skyrocket, you have to look no further then the office of the lying weasel, President* Bumbles Dementia.

The comments also come after the Biden administration last week began delaying decisions on new oil and gas leases after a federal judge blocked the administration from using higher climate change cost estimates when regulating polluting industries.

Recently, the maladministration was told by a judge to start holding auctions on oil leases. I have a post on that waiting in the queue. The maladministration is still slow walking the auctions.

The ruling stems from President Biden’s decision on his first day in office to restore the climate cost estimate to $51 per ton of carbon dioxide emissions, up from the $7 it was slashed to during the Trump administration.

That climate cost stuff is flat out garbage. The order Dementia Joe signed was one of hundreds that were put in front of him by his band of merry Marxists. He had no idea what he was signing, and even if he did, he doesn’t care about the damage he’s doing to the United States.

Biden has come under increasing pressure to walk back resistance to domestic oil production in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, with Rep. August Pfluger, R-Texas, arguing such a move would help the U.S. “regain our dominance on the world stage.”

“The Permian Basin is the most prolific production area in the entire world,” Pfluger said last week. “We must unleash and innovate to make sure the production continues to be strong, that we regain our dominance on the world stage in the oil and gas we supply, not only for our domestic needs but also our partners and allies so that they’re not dependent on maligned actors like Russia and China.”

With the current crop of scum and villains, (I always liked that line from Star Wars. It fits Washington D.C. perfectly), that isn’t going to happen. Even if there is a major political realignment after the midterms, the damage done by the maladministration may be irreparable. I know this idea is way over the top, but perhaps it’s time for the states with the oil to just seize the land from the federal government and develop it themselves.

Since 2021 Russia is the United States’ top source of imported gasoline and other refined petroleum products, Forbes recently reported. Lithium, one of the main ingredients in rechargeable batteries used in cars, phones, and other products, chiefly originates in China. 

And who was the president in 2021? Don’t tell me, it’s on the tip of my tongue.

We should be producing our own oil and gas and refining it for fuel and other uses, not importing it from countries that are hostile to us. As for the lithium, that is a strategic mineral. We should be developing our own sources, not getting it from China. (In case you weren’t aware, China has been moving to corner the global markets on rare earth minerals)

When President Trump was in office, he saw how dangerous it was to be relying on foreign governments for our strategic needs and began working to bring as much of this, raw materials and manufacturing, back into the United States as possible. Once Joe Biden took office, he promptly began reversing all this. As to why? I’ll say it. Flat out bribery, that’s why. Biden and Harris need to be removed from office. There is certainly enough dirt on them to do so, and it will be actual offenses, not the fake stuff they tried to railroad President Trump on.
