Good day all. We coming up on the third month of the Russia/Ukraine war, and things are not going well at all for Mother Russia. Very early on, many private companies pulled out of Russia, and soon thereafter, other countries started imposing sanctions. One of these was to end purchases of Russian oil, which is the big moneymaker for Russia.
Now if oil exports from Russia had been blocked during the administration of the Greatest President of the 21st Century, Donald Trump, there would have been a blip in oil prices, but domestic production would have quickly ramped up and replaced the oil no longer coming from Russia. However, we don’t have President Trump, we have the most inept, incompetent president in the history of the United States, President Joe Bumbles Dementia Biden.
The Bumbles Dementia Maladministration as their first order of business was to go all out to destroy the energy independence left by President Trump. We saw gas prices climbing before the Russians invaded, and they have skyrocketed since. Now it seems that Dementia Joe actually tried to keep Germany from banning oil imports from Russia and for reasons you won’t be surprised to hear. Here are the details from Newsmax:
Germany’s decision to not immediately end Russian oil imports – a move that would deliver a crucial blow to the Kremlin over its war in Ukraine – came at the urgent request of the Biden administration, a senior European official involved in Russian sanctions tells Newsmax.
The European official told Newsmax that the Biden administration has also been pushing the Germans to delay cutting off Russian oil until later this year and after the U.S. midterm elections.
The White House appears to believe it has a chance to keep the Senate in Democrat hands – but that opportunity could be endangered from a serious spike in oil prices if Germany had to start buying oil from global markets.
Well, I think we can add this to the list of charges to bring against Dementia Joe and Heels Up Harris when the Republicans take control of Congress next year and start looking at impeaching those two idiots. The whole idea of sanctions was to starve the Russians of money and parts they don’t produce domestically and force them to pull out of the Ukraine. Instead, the Democratic Communazis, as usual, put politics ahead of what actually needed to be done.
Earlier this month, President Biden signed a law that bans all Russian imports of oil, gas, and coal to the U.S. But Biden had been reluctant to approve such a ban fearing the already high cost of gasoline would grow, even though the U.S. only imports 3% of crude oil from Russia.
We shouldn’t be importing ANY oil, gas or coal from anywhere. We should be exporting any surplus we have and making money. But no, we have to go green and save the planet at all costs, with the exception of losing the midterm elections it seems.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced last Wednesday that Germany will stop importing half of its oil from Russia by summer with the remainder closed down at year’s end.
But wait! There’s more!
But those comments were quickly qualified by Germany’s Finance Minister Christian Lindner, who suggested that a quick cut-off of Russian oil won’t happen anytime soon.
Germany also indicated that while Russian oil imports would be banned by the end of this year, gas imports purchases could continue into 2023, but be banned soon after.
I seem to recall A President of the United States or two telling the Germans they were fools to put all their energy eggs into a Russian basket. Well, the proof is in the not doing what they should be doing, shutting down Russian energy imports. (They’re probably paying in Rubles too)
EU nations have been reluctant to ban Russian energy. In March, Poland took the lead in banning Russian coal imports by May with plans to stop all oil and gas imports by year’s end.
We have plenty of coal mines that will be happy to sell coal to Poland. Of course, that would require the fools, communists and vermin in the EPA to get out of the way and let the miners dig.
If the E.U. were to move to ban Russian oil imports immediately, he said global oil prices would increase.
“An immediate European oil ban could affect nearly 4 million barrels per day of Russian petroleum and would apply excessive upward pressure on global oil prices,” Dargin said.
He noted that a complete cessation of Russian oil imports to the EU could drive prices to as much $200 a barrel globally.
And how could we prevent this? Hmm, let me see. Don’t tell me, it will come to me. Oh yes, I know. Drill, pump and refine AMERICAN oil. So, there are several reasons Germany and the other Eurotrash haven’t stopped buying Russian oil. First, because they’re stupid and thought they would show those pesky Americans that they know what they’re doing.
Second, because as soon as all the new sources of green energy come online, Europe won’t need any fossil fuels at all. Yep, that new tech will be along any time now. Any time. Meanwhile, they will keep buying Russian oil and since they like Joe Biden, (He’s nice, pliable and stupid), they will try and help him and the Democrats hold on to the House and Senate. (George Soros is ramping up his fraud machine as we speak)
