Good day all. The recent decision by the Supreme Court to uphold the idea of presidential immunity has thrown a major wrench in the Democrats plans to “Get Trump!” (Never mind that it covers all presidents including their sainted Obama)

The Democrats have also taken up gang shark jumping with their claims that now President Trump, once he’s reelected, can jail or kill them all. Of course, they have all failed to understand what the ruling actually says and that it is limited. They also refuse to understand that there are safeguards and always have been.

Now UpChuck Schumer has announced that HE is going to strip President Trump of his immunity. Here are the details from Fox News:
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., announced plans to draft legislation allowing former President Trump to be held accountable for behavior following the 2020 election.
Schumer said his proposed bill will classify Trump’s actions related to challenging the results of the 2020 election “unofficial,” thereby removing the immunity protections granted under a recent Supreme Court ruling.
Leave it to that useless piece of tyrannical trash to come up with something that has no chance of passing and is unconstitutional in so many ways, starting with violating the part on passing ex post facto laws, which this would be. Here is a small blurb about this from the font of highly accurate knowledge and wisdom, Wikipedia:
Congress is prohibited from passing ex post facto laws by clause 3 of Article I, Section 9 of the United States Constitution. The states are prohibited from passing ex post facto laws by clause 1 of Article I, Section 10. This is one of the relatively few restrictions that the United States Constitution made to both the power of the federal and state governments before the Fourteenth Amendment. Over the years, however, when deciding ex post facto cases, the United States Supreme Court has referred repeatedly to its ruling in Calder v. Bull, in which Justice Samuel Chase held that the prohibition applied only to criminal matters, not civil matters, and established four categories of unconstitutional ex post facto laws. The case dealt with the Article I, Section 10, prohibition on ex post facto laws, because it concerned a Connecticut state law.
“American democracy stands today at a perilous crossroads,” Schumer said in recent Senate floor remarks, referring to Trump’s behavior as “election subversion acts.”
“[The Supreme Court] incorrectly declared that former President Donald Trump enjoys broad immunity from criminal prosecution for actions he took while in office.”
As usual, Schumer is doing his normal short term thinking prevalent among Progressive Liberal Democrats. He isn’t considering the problem Obama has with his summery execution of American citizens in a drone strike.
Schumer went on to compare Trump to former President Richard Nixon, claiming the court agreed with the iconic defense Nixon gave journalist David Frost in 1977.
“When the president does it, that means it’s not illegal,” Schumer recalled.
“We were all taught in grade school that there are no kings here in America, but what the conservative justices have done is effectively place a crown on Donald Trump’s head,” he continued.
As usual, that worthless POS seems to have forgotten what actually happened. The Congress was in the process of impeaching Nixon and he would have been convicted in the senate and removed. He resigned rather then put the country through that and Ford pardoned him to avoid a criminal trial. There was also the fact that Nixon actually did commit crimes. They have yet to name an actual crime that the Greatest President of the 21st, Donald Trump.
Schumer went on to predict if Trump is elected, the Supreme Court will only continue to hand down “disastrous rulings” and that Jan. 6, 2021, will be seen as the starting point for chaos in the U.S.
“Donald Trump and the MAGA right will plunge our country into an abyss of extremism the vast majority of Americans oppose and which America has really never seen,” he said.
In other words, Schumer is projecting again, claiming President Trump is going to do what the Democrats have already been doing. Of course, we do have the President Trump’s previous term to judge him by, where nothing Schumer has said will happen actually did. But then UpChuck Schumer is a lying two faced bastard.
Brian Hughes, a senior adviser to Trump’s campaign, ripped Schumer’s announcement, saying he, like all “Biden Democrats,” will do whatever it takes to “weaponize” the legal system against the Republican nominee.
“Working against the Constitution to undermine the independence of the Supreme Court is simply the latest proposal that demonstrates this corrupt and deranged fact,” Hughes said.
“SCOTUS rightly protected the powers of the president — all presidents, not just Donald Trump — which is fundamental to the balance of power between the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government.”
Schumer and the rest of the Democrats do not recognize the Constitution, the Separation of Powers or the Rule of Law. All they recognize is power, attaining it and using it to benefit themselves. They keep screaming about “Democracy” and yet they flat out do not believe in it. Their idea of “Democracy” is whatever benefits the Democrat Party. They also don’t seem to comprehend that the United States isn’t a democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.
If that fathead Schumer files a bill, it won’t go anywhere. It won’t pass the Senate and it certainly won’t pass the House. Even if it did, it would quickly be challenged in court and ruled unconstitutional as an Ex post Facto law and a Bill of Attainder. Schumer should be happy that it will be President Trump taking office next year and not me or people with my mindset.
It’s not likely that the new Trump AG will actually go after Schumer and all the Democrats. (It’s highly likely that they have broken numerous laws in my unschooled opinion) Schumer is playing political games again. Let’s see what happens next year if the Republicans take full control of the House, Senate and White House. I’m sure he won’t like the results one bit.

It is not just that it is a proposed ex post facto law, but ALSO is a Bill of Attainder, thus violating both parts of Article I, Section 9, clause 3:
“No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed. “
I’m sure the Democrats will pass an amendment/law allowing for a bill of Attainder just to get Trump.
An aside. I thought I had already approved you to comment? Oh well. Fixed. 🙂
